Comeback

Walking up the stairs Thursday afternoon
Sweet wind blew not a moment 2 soon
Ooh, I cried when I realized
That sweet wind was U

Spirits come and spirits go
Some stick around 4 the aftershow
I don't have 2 say I miss U
Cuz I think U already know

If U ever lose someone dear 2 U
Never say the words - "They're gone"
They'll come back, yeah
They'll come back, yeah, yeah
They'll come back

Tears go here

Anxiety

I don't want music played at my funeral. Aural freedom is very important to me, and I want people's thoughts to be their own, not Prince's or even MINE via music I selected while I was alive, for that matter. Funerals are hard enough without the prospect of my Grandmother having to get through listening to "Anna Stesia" (not that that would be a choice, but I just can't imagine Granny co-existing with anything from "Lovesexy").

Now, the party AFTER my funeral is another story altogether. There'd better be some asses wigglin' - I WANT PERFECTION!!!

"Purple Rain"

the song always made me cry during the guitar solo, and i feel that it is a very beautiful and powerful song. i want 2 b in the nude with flowers covering my private parts, sort of like a rebirth kinda thing. i think that whole vibe of the song and the flowers would b a groovy thing 2 do.

1love,

I DON'T THINK IT IS A MORBID QUESTION. DEATH IS REALITY- SOMETHING WE WILL ALL DEAL WITH. I HAVE TOLD SEVERAL PEOPLE THAT I WANT PRINCE TO PLAYED AT MY FUNERAL & I HAVE ALSO INFORMED"ASSASIN" A PARTICULAR LOCAL ROCK BAND THAT I LIKE

MY PRINCE SONGS: "PURPLE RAIN" & "FREE"

BUT THE QUESTION REMAINS FOR & 2 ALL OF U:

WHERE WILL UR SPIRIT/SOUL GO WHEN THE FLESH EXPIRES?

Sometimes it Snows in April

Both of his hymns:
Still Would Stand All Time & Love Thy Will Be Done

Purple Rain as the finale

Some where in there someone's gotta sing Send in the Clowns - not a Prince song, but it's perfect for me!

Kinda creepy to think but hey...gonna happen sooner or later!!!!!

I think I'd like the following played in order....

-"Venus de Milo"-just love this piece

-"The Cross" (or "The Christ" if I ever get a copy)Though I'm not a very religious person..this song brings out what faith I have in me....then I walk back into this world....

-"Paisley Park"-for those who r in need of inner peace

-"Sometimes It Snows In April"-always made me cry!

-"There's Others Here With Us"-To scare the people there that I hate!!! LOL

-"Housequake"-I KNOW my family would oppose but I told my friendz that if I die b4 them...they better as hell have a party for me...I dont want nobody cryin!!!! And this song better kick off that celebration of my life!!!!!

Not "u're funeral". Okay? If there's anything worse than typing in PRINCE-SPEAK, it's taking grammatical errors that nobody past 10 should be making and then CONVERTING THEM TO PRINCE-SPEAK.

OK, so the question is a bit macabre....Either way, I think the one Prince song I would like played at my memorial service after I die (if there has to be one pick) would be "Last December". I think it would be appropriate in that it would give those in attendence the opportunity to reflect on their own life while remembering mine. Hopefully the name I made for myself during my life will be a positive one and that I touched more people's lives positively than I even realized. The lyics in the song are really great and thought provoking. Hopefully I will have done all I can to the extent possible when my last december comes. I would hope the playing of that would help others there to make the most of the rest of their unforseen time left before their last December.

What about a 25 minute version of "day's o wild?
That will do, or "excuse me is this really goodbye"
