Why is this a strange topic? Your death is a fact of life. Me, I would have I Wish U Heaven.

Dave Navarro once said in one of his Bikini articles (I think) that he'd want Montell Jordan's "This Is How We Do It" played on a loop throughout the entire funeral, just to make everyone even more uncomfortable...

I'd have Mother Love Bone's "Chloe Dancer/Crown Of Thorns" playing at mine.

that dave navarro thing is great..hehe..
i've always said i wanted 'a whiter shade of pale' played at my funeral...
cos the lines 'and altho my eyes were open--they might just as well be closed...' and 'a face at first just ghostly, turns a whiter shade of pale' would be very inappropriate, but the song sounds so much like a 'funeral song' that only a few people would actually catch it..and they'd laugh...wink
as for a prince song, i used to say 'sometimes it snows in april..' but now i don't have any plans of dying...so..no need...biggrin

Nah, seriously I would like "Comeback" because I believe funerals are for those left behind.

Well, theres a couple, for the changes you go through at a funeral service... 1st, playing in the background as people visit my coffin (cant picture this yet), would be nothing compares 2 you, then, as the priest says his words of wisdom/sermon/eulogy/ would be still would stand all time. at the end, when i get into the hearse would be...the ride. i'd like it real slow. the ride to the cemetary that is.
May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love. hug kisses

Picture the scene. People are gathered inside the 'last respects' room at the cremetorium. My cardboard coffin lies there, the goodbyes have been said. The curtains draw around the coffin and at the moment when they meet, the scream from the beginning of Gett Off pierces the air.
I don't know why, but this request always gets tuts of disapproval from my children.

Even though I hope to live at least 50 more years, I have already written down my last wishes (April 1999 to be specific.)

I only want two Prince songs played: "The Cross" & "She Gave Her Angels."

I don't think it's a strange or dumb question at all. Unfortunately, we Americans tend to not understand that death is part of the life cycle & is something to be celebrated, not feared. I've also told my loved ones that they must wear bright, happy colors (I'll be in purple if it's Fall/Winter or fuchsia if it's Spring/Summer) and they can only wear black if it's beaded, sequined, or very elegantly after five.
