Databank: an underrated funk gem! I just found a Prince song called "Databank" and it rocks hard in a funky place! I never heard it before and it's just a plain wonderful, very funky track!   
Does anyone know some details about this song, like when it was recorded etc.??? RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time... |

June 17th 1986. Re-recorded with the full line up of the Revolution at the Washington Avenue warehouse. Prince later re-recorded Data Bank from scratch. "Climb in my fur." | |

It sounds a bit dated, looking back on it, but it's still funkaaay! It also reminds me of, like, just the R&B sound that was happening at the time. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE. | |
