She has said so many horrible things I can't remember them all, sprinkled in with "nice" things to keep all her fans tuned in. I know that is her style but she is beating a dead man for publicity. I stopped watching after last season but am not surprised at this clip. UGH! Boycott forever for me. Sad, just sad.

She connected enough she already knows that. That's what has me confused. I'm assuming she was being backhanded by saying the title of the book is Betrayal as in the book is a betrayal in what it'll contain. And it doesn't sound like she's all that empathetic to the baby issue either.

Wow. How utterly disrespectful to Prince, to Mayte and to all his fams. I've always hated Wendy Williams. I remember seeing a clip of the show on youtube where she said that Prince called her and said he watched and was a fan of her show or something. I've always wondered HOW or WHY that possibly could be true since all she ever did was gossip (loudly and annoyingly) about other people and celebs. That's totally the opposite of what P was about. I wonder if that was even true. I bet she made it all up. I can't believe she can't even get Mayte's name right! If your job is to know celebrities and thier families, she for sure knew how to pronounce her name. I think it was another way to be completley disrespectful. If I was in the audience, I would have threw whatever I could find around me at her and walked off the set, but not before calling her a total BI@#H.

I don't know a lot about legal issues, but couldn't Mayte sue her for slander? She's telling complete lies about her. Especially the book title. She pulled that out of thin air just for shock value. Sickening.

There is something to be said about the language used in this thread. If supporters describe Mayte as being classy, they should at least be a good representation of character. This would be more likely to help Mayte and associates/followers in whatever project she might have in the future.

I've never known much about WW (but got the impression that she was annoying) - I saw a piece on her on the Sunday Morning show recently and thought she could be likable but now I take that back. I don't like calling anybody names or being mean to people but for her comments about Prince -- she certainly deserves to be called A FUCKING CUNT.

One can be a comedian & express ANY opinion provided it is done with intelligence,insight, & witt. Unfortunately, WW does not possess those characteristics. We see this same type of braindead analysis often from Oprah, Whoopi & Sherri Shepard. I personally believe that Corporate Media gives these types a public platform for a reason-they do not speak for the majority of people and never address the real issues often diverting peoples attention away from what the real news is. Sadly, P. was gracious (even overlooking her backhanded comments about him years ago) to WW & she has shown she is more interested in cheap unfounded laughs than compassion or even knowing what the hell she is talking about. Tyka, is NOT a celebrity promoting herself for fame/attention. Therefore, WW going in on her (or ANY grieving family member) with disses for a cheap laugh really says something about Wendy. Tyka could easily spend hours at a salon (like WW obviously does daily) putting on a fake front-but clearly her heart/mind/spirit is else where on more important issues. I give Tyka a lot of credit for that & continuing to be herself & natural and not being fake like Wendy is. Sadly, I think WW is so out of touch & oblivious she believes this is her idead of backing or supporting P. If anything, it tells me that drugs are no big deal for her hence her flippant attitude towards usage (and we all know what's been said about her set, so no surprise). I wonder if she makes fun of people with terminal cancer and their neccessary use of drugs too? Ooops, may have just given Wendy an idea for her next brilliant stand-up routine! Wendy may have different ideas as to what constitutes a baby (ie being born healthy & not requiring life support machinery in order to live) or she may have been attempting to question MG's 2nd alleged pregnancy (which MG only revealed after P.'s passing). MG has reality/mental health issues so I too have wondered what a "pregnancy" means to her. For all we know she might have missed her period for a month and considered herself pregnant. Who knows? I don't even believe the name she said they were going to name the baby, as again given after P's death and we only have her "word". She has lied in the past & I don't believe anything she says as her perception of reality is off & I believe motivated not by his legacy but for her own benefit/fame/financal gain/ego.

Maybe not if it supports Mayte. Mostly criticizing Wendy Williams. But you brought up an excellent point.

Wendy was way out of line and was talking about stuff that she knows nothing about. Wendy obviously does not know much about Prince and I've detected some animosity towards him from her. Mayte has every right to write her book about her life.
