I'm not surprised at her comments. She is not a nice person and she gives terrible advice during the AskWendy portion of her show. Also I didn't think she was a big fan of Prince because she made a comment about how she was enjoying listening to his music on a station after he passed away and as soon as any of his songs with a lot of guitar came on she had to switch the station.

What is the intent here? Spreading rumors against anyone not siding with Mayte? I noticed how this has been a regular pattern amist a few Mayte's fans and leads me to wonder about intentions from her followers.

This does not surprise me, Wendy has always dipped her toes in controversy, that's how she's made her name. Her comments on Prince and the baby were totally disrespectful and her comments on Tyka, who isn't a celebrity, a low blow. I do not blame Mayte at all for firing shots back.

I agree, I think people have to remember that Wendy's show is not only shown nationally in America but is broadcast daily around the globe. I'm a Prince fan and not a Mayte fan but will back her to the hilt on this as Wendy's crass statement about the "alleged baby" are beyond low.

The positive in this situation is how it has brought Mayte's fans AND some not-so-fan-of her together in her defense.

Clearly, the vast majority of people on this thread is outraged by Wendy Williams' statements for their being disrespectful to loved ones.

I also compliment Mayte for responding in a respectful manner and defending her son.

-/- to the comment about the second pregnancy and miscarriage- MG talked about that and had begun writing a book while prince was alive. this is not new. it would be interesting to know how much the book has changed from her draft circa 2012 and the one due next spring. i believe that would be the best indicator of her motives. not that i care about her motives i stand firmly in the camp of 'it's her life and story to share'.

I give up. It's just all so junior high school...and none of it will give us all what we truly want with all our hearts...P back.
