Cool! Thanks for sharing the link and thanks to P for continuing to provide all this NEW FREE music!

It's cool and all but definitly not amazing....

Kinda reminds me of P's silly hype for Carmen! The...most...frightning...woman...ever

whatever...

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

some of the sonfgs are really great. Cry,Cry,Cry being the best imo. Angel in the Dark and Beautiful Life are also nice. Hope she gets some promo and that people dont start calling her a protege. Her voice is pretty amazing imo- some of the songs a bit weak, which is a shame.

Listening now. So far it's rather pedestrian and dull. I'm a Juduth Hill fan. I'm happy she got an album with Prince, because a lot of people dream of that experience, but... hold up... I'm feeling this Angel In The Dark tune... Maybe this album is actually good... Turning off the haterade for a minute to give this a fair listen... biggrin

Wow, this is the real return of funk for P. Loving this so far. The best protege project in a long time, that's for sure.

it's a good album, i like it. but, me being here because this is prince.org,

naturally, my favorite bit is the last 1 and a half minute of "wild tonight",

that's just great smile

Cure is the highlight for me, but the album is peppered with good tracks. Nothing explosive, but it's an enjoyable album. Love Prince's 'fanboying' on Turn Up.

We have to pay £5 for that track, that's the catch lol

I'd happily pay for this album though to be fair.

first impression songs 1,2,8 are prince compositions. i can hear him on vocals

as well on all 3 songs. there's probably more but on first listen, those ones are

the most obvious prince penned tracks for me.

angel in the dark sounds like it was produced by josh

the rest sounds like they were nicely produced and performed by prince on a

lot of the instruments. but those songs sound like they were written by judith,

or someone else, instead of prince.

or is this whole album more like chaka's "come 2 my house" where she wrote
most of the lyrics and he did the instruments and production?

It's pretty impressive at times. It's about as good as a basic genre record could be. Everything great about classic Prince is missing from this record though. Instead we have an attempt to mimic the classic soul records from the late 60's and early 70's. I feel like Keenan Thompson and Jason Sudeikes from SNL need a check for Jammin' in The Basement, but it's a good direction for Prince. It's a good look for everyone involved. I like it.

Zannaloaf and Funksterr probably agree with you, they picked the non-Prince songs for praise lol

AN ENJOYABLE TEN SONG SET THAT HIGHLIGHTS HILL'S VOCAL TALENT OVER PRINCE'S PRODUCTION. SEEMS LIKE JOSH AND PRINCE CO-PRODUCED 'ANGEL IN THE DARK', THE MOST RADIO FRIENDLY TRACK OF THE TEN SONGS. VERY ENCOURAGING PRODUCTION FROM PRINCE BUT HILL IS THE STAR! WOW VOCALS!

Sounds like Prince plays on most of these tracks. Judith Hill is the star though.

I'm downloading it as I type. Any ideas of what Prince's involvement in it actually is? I'm surprised by the positive reaction, and looking forward to listening to it
