Like it or not, interviewers and readers are going to want dirt on Prince from former confidants. I'm sure that W&L would have loved to not talk about Prince and focus on the hardly mentioned White Flags album. In fact, the actual interview may have been 90% White Flags/Heros and a small percentage about Prince.

Out is obviously not a music rag, so it was edited for juiciness. Ironic that a magazine with a presumed preamble to take the gossip out of sexual preference, in turn posted a gossip article about a sexually ambiguous icon.

More power to Wendy and Lisa if they want the past to be the past in regards to Prince, but at least they seem comfortable and open to anything during Q&As. It separates them from the Billy Bobs.

I really don't understand. I'm a huge huge HUGE Prince fan, you'll never ever know.

What balance could there be. They started out together, as friends, parners in crime. Can we only imagine what they went through at such a young age? The madness that wrote history, the making of these wonderful musical babies, the incredible creativity, together, not only him. They had their idea of the future and he was eager to continue, on his terms, bam, without them. I understand them, I understand him.
But nothing about what W&L said in that interview (or the others) made me feel offended or feel that they attacked him. They never complained being asked about Prince because they know that's part of the deal, their history also. They belong to the fabulous beginning of the Golden Prince era and they were also co-responsible for it. They enjoyed it so much and although it was a long time ago I can understand that ending it sucked big time.
And they moved along and they did good, without him. They've worked with so many artists, done great scoring etc. If they didn't have those two huge punches in their face the last 10 years, they probably would have made more albums.
These are two smart, extremely normal and funny women who make nice to great music and they've always talked kindly about Prince. The one thing you feel is that they love him a lot and that he doesn't show that love in return as much as they would like to, therefore the sometimes stinging remarks. And since he seems to be the one that occasionally calls them to do some (free) work for him, I can understand why they sometimes get frustrated. They always have to wait for him, it's not a fair 2-way street.

This is yet another great interview with them and Prince shouldn’t feel offended but flattered.

Well, when Prince said that there was a Revolution reunion was being planned. W&L actually chose not to participate cause Prince gave them that ultimatum. You may remember the situation surrounding the Tavis Smiley show where Prince and Wendy had a reconciliation of sorts. It's only since then they have been occasionally working to together.

We'll be waiting for your insight into this story since you clearly have to know something to call some ones experience "suspect". But I'm sure you won't. Why?
