Yeah that was the gig. At the Conga Room. Great show. I remember him opening with Dreamer before anyone had ever heard of it. Seeing Kornell West on stage dancing with Jesse Jackson was off the chain. I remember one of the features of the site was you could point to different rooms & Prince would walk into each one of them & different videos were played depending on which room you were in. It looked really slick.

It is not just. It is bittersweet. It is great if this actually turns out to be an official release. The only reason people pay so much for bootlegs is the fact that he just doesn't release much. He promised "Parade Live," well, still waiting on that one. "Roadhouse Garden" anyone?

I will be the first one to buy any official release, but can't trust Prince until I have the item in my hand.

Those four songs you mentioned piss all over Screwdriver. The music is ok, it rocks...but the singing and the lyrics make Guitar look like some kind of new philosophy that will change life as we know it.

Hi. I've not posted on here for a good few years but just wanted to add my bit.

I wouldn't go as far as saying physical is dead. Here in the UK there is a massive vinyl revival, and certain acts are releasing their new material on this format. I wouldn't go as far as saying i'd buy Prince's new album on vinyl, but I wouldn't be overly keen on spending $15 on an mp3 album. I've bought every physical Prince release and would continue to do so but again I wouldn't spend $30 on a CD either. I bought the RNR Affair as a mp3 maxi single for £1.99 and I had no problems doing that. For a "single" I wouldn't hesitate purchasing it as mp3.

Sananda Maitreya (TTD) releases his CD's through his website for 16 euros (approx £13.50 or $21). As a Prince fan, I would pay this no question. I think Prince needs to still sell physical releases, in my opinion if he stopped doing so, it would be a big mistake.

On the subject of MP3... I would purchase "vault" material as a pay per download (or batch purchases discounted) Again these would have to be at the right price.

I'm stoked about the website although it has the look of a placeholder. I guess I'd rather have him throw us the whole enchilada but I get what he's doing. Overall just glad he has a presence again on the web. People forget he was one of the pioneers going back to the NPGMC. He even won a WEBBY award back in 2006. Very excited to see what is made available this go around. I'm trying to stay positve and think this time will be different in a good way.
