Well, I still think 20Ten had 77 tracks to make fun of all of us for paying for a dying site. Some people even paid $77 for one week of Lotuscam.com. So what do I think now? It would be the ultimate crap on all of us if the site had a pay feature for $77 for a "lifetime" membership.

I have already forgiven him, but will probably make fun of him screwing us for a "lifetime." The website is pretty much proof of him at least being a liar or crazy. Gotta love someone who says the internet is dead putting up a website. 20Ten was a nice album. Not the masterpiece some think, but a very good album with a classic in "Future Soul Song." Too bad he didn't try to market it on a website back then.

you've never changed your mind on something? lol

besides, everything that's happening right now is to our advantage nod

i for one am extremely happy that he changed his mind again woot!

I also can't help thinking that working with some younger musicians (Andy, Donna, Hannah et al) that have their own Twitter accounts and facebook fan pages has opened him up to being a bit more accessible again.Or at least attempting to use the social media side of the internet to his advantage.

Similar to when people speculated that Manuella was an influence on him holding the Celebrations and NPGMC forums etc.

Just somewhere in the middle,

I hope that if the Monteaux show is placed on DVD/Blu Ray/Digital Download, that it's the complete show, without edits, like the 1985 concert on VHS. Also, if it is made available on DVD/Blu Ray that there are some fun extras or East Eggs to find.

I'm happy we might get some content or ways to purchase items on a website. Since he does change his mind, he could close the website before anything is sold. His continuing screwing of the fans lowers my expectations. If it was one or two, or even three mistakes, fine. This guy has made a career out of lying to fans, and screwing them over.

Despite all this, I'm right there with the rest of the Cows in the herd. I just refuse to take the high road and become a yes man and bend over for him over and over. I try to speak what is on my mind, happy or sad, positive or negative. I will never be like those drones at an office job who praise every single stupid policy their company comes up with. That's just not me.

Hey...so now u try 2 blame it on Prince that he is about 2 release HIS material which u got earlier in an unofficial way? That's all sorts of wrong confused

Ain't it just! Maybe it's a little late coming but moaning about it because we previously had some stolen goodies just doesn't make any sense!

From what we've seen so far, it actually bodes very well.

It is not just. It is bittersweet. It is great if this actually turns out to be an official release. The only reason people pay so much for bootlegs is the fact that he just doesn't release much. He promised "Parade Live," well, still waiting on that one. "Roadhouse Garden" anyone?

I will be the first one to buy any official release, but can't trust Prince until I have the item in my hand.

TheEnglishGent said:The only thing I don't understand is that we don't have to go hunting around an obscure website to find the content. Can't be official.

The link to buy stuff hasn't been put in there yet. We probably will have to click on a link that only shows up on the page once a day for 77 seconds. If you don't click on it during that window, you don't get to buy it.

Looking good. Looking good.

But he needs to be VERY careful not to use the last of, for many of us, what remains of our goodwill.

I will NOT be joining a club. I would rather STEAL a copy of the Daily Fail than give them my hard-earned. If it's ANY sort of streaming BS I'm out.

Sorry to sound negative, I am very optimistic of what seems an interesting reinvention of style. Hopefully minus exessive Larry Graham and telling us how best to bother God.

But we live in a sort of musical utopia now, as I see it, that ironically he helped pave the way for and yet wants no part of. He needs to get OVER the non-existent format war that is in his head, and just get ON with delivering music the way most of us now choose to experience it. That is digitally via the internet.

Woah there! Before you go flaming me with the old "vinyl sounds better" and "I want a physical copy" arguments. Just think.

Apple (other digital content sources are available) are committed to improving the quality of there downloads in future. This is to be embraced. I really, really wish he was there with them, getting involved in the dialogue about how best to proceed because he more than anyone should be.

And THEN...we can get over ridiculous arguments of "format". Physical is dead people, really. Get over it. The future IS digital. Fact. And if you close your eyes and ears to the REALITY of this future then you will get left behind. And we don't want that. We want the funkiest right there, front and centre. Leading the charge instead of resisting it.

Remember it's about the MUSIC. And it is AMAZING that an artist (THE Artist?) can record, produce and distribute a song (or any content for that matter) direct to his (or her) fans almost INSTANTLY, and get paid for it. What a world.

Yes sound quality needs improving. Yes I want a "booklet" with lyrics and pictures I can enjoy in conjunction with the listening experience. Yes the price has to be right and the artist proceeds need to be fair. So get involved and get negotiating and make your demands loud and clear and get the fans onboard so we can shout with you to the corporation(s) that we demand better, faster, more.

Sorry to hijack the discussion, just don't want to have to dust off my gramophone to get involved.

Great track P, keep it coming.

I will agree 2 some degree but I want my physical copy. Digital dies or disappears.......my physical copy does NOT!

strange, it seem to work the opposite way for me. I've lost many a physical copy, but not only never lose a digital copy, I can carry them all with me anywhere I go.

A good live DVD is something Ive been after for a while. The bootleggers are making a pretty penny out of selling poor quality unofficial releases.

The Montreux concerts are available in PERFECT quality for a while now, and you don't have to pay a penny for it.

But if prince releases things like that officially, hopefully DRM-free, unedited and in HD then it's a good thing, and 'm willing to pay for it.

Finally a rockin song where the studio version didnt get all mucked up!

I like It There was just ok

Fury just sucked compared to the live version

Guitar was just meh

Dreamer was great but lacked raw energy

Screwdriver is just right! Raw, In your face and rockin! LOVE IT!

THANK YOU P FOR FINALLY REALLY DELIVERING THE GOODS!!!

I know I feel the same way! I was just talking about this with my mother that he'll probably get a site soon (the influence of his new young musicians perhaps?) and then bam this happens lmao... It's awesome tho and it's about time!!! Thank you prince!!!<3

I have to be honest though, I dont like screwdriver that much, perhaps it needs to grow on me. But the lyrics are horrible and it kinda feels like one of those songs a person who's having a middle crisis would listen to. Im just happy he's giving us some new stuff smile
