technically-wise it would be no problem - lines and servers nowadays can handle this - but I also think and hope, it will be on blue ray or on download.

I wouldn't get your hopes up about a bluray. It seems as though the show wasn't filmed in HD, and I don't think Prince would bother with having it transferred. It will be nice to have an official copy though.

Screwdriver is a pretty decent rocker! I am surprised how "dirty" it sounds considering Prince's rock efforts are usually smoothed out to the point where the songs loose all of their rocking power.

The drums sound as if they were recorded a bit too "overdriven" though, I detect quite a bit of distortion. Not sure yet if that adds to the songs' charm, or that it just sounds like a bad recording. I like the effort nevertheless, finally some raw rock!

This is absolutely fantastic, a masterpiece if you will!

When I heard the initial 30 seconds I really liked it but didn't expect it to rock like this. Now where are all those that said it was awful and he sucks the soul out of his studio versions?

A new official web site with a relevancy of 11 months? Another genius move. People might get the URL typed correctly by July...

Agreed! Donna is a great addition. The new band is like a fresh start. Don't know what it is but I'm really diggin these girls.

I am back Home, now and I am defintely going to make a video about this tomorrow on Youtube on my Prince Rant Playlist! SO much to cover! First time in 3 months! I have not dismissed Prince and his creative work! I can not wait to see what is next! ALL of this is really great and fantastic! Loving the chance of an official DVD release! That would be too much to handle! Because Montreux by far is one of the best concerts from Prince. It's one of my all time favorites! Just amazing! I feel like he will release it, and I will for sure buy it...Although I have seen it countless times! Haha

2013 is really blessed! Prince seems to be so happy and with all of the news gearing up in his favor, he is bitting the taste of fame and glory again! We get a taste of it, and boy is it SWEET!

Lovin Screwdriver, has a bit of a Dirty Mind (the album) vibe to it - ie down and dirty minimal/stipped back riffs. The band is a three piece + Prince so again, minimal.

I would love it if this was the vibe for the whole album. Very focused sound and music style. However, knowing Prince I doubt it. He plays so many different styles that an album of eclectic styles is actually what now seems to make a Prince album. It would be great if he surprised and did a Dirty Mind with this new album - it would feel fresh and different (well for Prince anyway).

Either way, new music, new album, new website, probably tour (come to the UK please) and possibly some lovely easter eggs like vault material (dare we say live DVD? Although might be download)

Fingers crossed 2013 will be a good one!
