Unfreakinbelievable!! I changed my cc info & sent an email. Prince is a @#@# crook. Don't even bother trying to apologize for this #@#@hole.
I have a newborn son & need every penny i have & this happens?? My son will not grow up being a prince fan, i can tell you that right now. He's totally lost me with this one. [Edited 3/26/10 14:17pm]

Son or not (and i feel for that), you just spoke out what 99% of the Prince community feels. With only two lines, you just made the remaining 1% of apologetics, hypocrites and know-it-alls look like the damn fools they are. Thank you for that.

What will be interesting is to see Prince drop a new song slamming all the people disappointed with Lotusflower and see how quickly they flock to Prince's arms like they did when he released PFunk 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I didnt join Lotusflow3r cause money being tight and i feel for those who this has effected but i do beleive this was a mistake (A big mistake) that has made prince look foolish.
But Labelling prince has a thief is a bit over the top...shit happens i remember my mother in law cancelling her broadband with AOL to find out they had still been debiting her account for some months after resulting in them owing her £170 it took us 3 months to get that back for her my point is MISTAKES do happen

For those who have been charged again, they'll be refunded and there was an almost immediate response from the web developer. What I always found wrong was that any mails to Lotus support were never answered. Not that I ever mailed them myself. However, what if the amount of mails complaining and whining were to such an extent that those employed were unable to handle the volume? They knew in advance that Prince would not continue with the site which seems at this point as if that's the case. Therefore, answering all the "cancel subscription" emails was a worthless cause. They were also bound by a confidentiality clause to not disclose any info. Although I'm sad to see Lotusflower go, and this forum will then leave too, at least here on the org, in time there'll be one less thing to complain about:-P That is. If people get over it and that's the big question. Will they go on and on forever about how bad LF was or will they have their say and call it a day? I agree 100000%!

My opinions on that couldn't be further from that line of thinking. The reason I made the comparison is because both are people who have been through fame and then a period of time where all of a sudden people had to almost defend being a fan of either. As a fan of both, I've felt this. The point I was trying to express is that when MJ was in the thick of public hatred, he treated his supporters graciously. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw Prince graciously thanking his fans and supporters for staying with him or actually stating that he loves them. That's all I'm trying to get across. I wish I could think of another singer or performer as a better comparison on that idea, because I don't like to compare the two in a music sense. They are completely different ends of the music spectrum to me. But I wouldn't hold my breath on Prince telling us he loves us. And even if I gotta remember a favorite song of mine.. "You keep telling me that you love, and I really do wanna believe it. But did you think I'd just accept you in blind faith? Oh sure babe.. Anything to please you. But you better be good to me. Look, here it is: yes it is all very shitty. I agree with that, as I agree with that this cannot be accepted. If you would have read my other posts too, surely you know that lol. But in my honest opinion it's also not something to go completely ballistic about, unless you like feeling that way and don't care whether you come across as somebody who may just go out and hurt somebody over this. - [Edited 3/26/10 12:00pm] No.no. no. no! I read it. My point is when it comes to Prince's money (the images, the dancing baby, etc.) the arguments made repeatedly around here is that is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, to take money out of Prince's pocket figuratively. Yet when he takes money out of y'all pocketss LITERALLY with yet another failed venture, y'all excuse it away with a dismissive "in the end it's just $77.00". That is very condescending. Y'all have even had the gall to act like it's alright for him to go ballistic, threatening to sue people, forcing the shutting down of websites, hiring a clown called the Web Sheriff to intimidate people and such. I don't think anyone wants to hurt him but damn, I do think they have every fucking right and reason to be pissed and dismissing them when y'all stand so adamantly behind Prince when it comes to his money is atrocious! No.no.no.no.no!!!! The only reason I say take it easy is for yout OWN WELL BEING. Why you being so vengeful with me. Iam not the one you should be directing your anger at. On the contrary! Blame Prince, blame these gullible fams, blame yourself,. but don't blame me, please. I didn't even join!!! Gawd...

I didn't even notice I had been charged, because the bank account I opened my LOtUSFLOW3R membership on has been empty since December because I lost my job... But sure enough, I logged into it (my defunct bank account, that is) a few minutes ago and I am -$77.00 Lovely.

No, there wasn't. It took at least half a day, the response only came because Gav contacted them, and the response was a lie. Considering those idiots can't manage to ship a bunch of T-shirts, let's see how they manage when it comes to refunding credit card charges. Bohemian67 said: What I always found wrong was that any mails to Lotus support were never answered. Not that I ever mailed them myself.
However, what if the amount of mails complaining and whining were to such an extent that those employed were unable to handle the volume? So they took on a job they couldn't handle? And that's OUR fault? Wanna know what happens when I don't respond to an email to Support at my job within the hour? I either get a phone call from the requester (if I'm lucky), or the request gets escalated to the next level, i.e. the email gets forwarded to their boss and my boss. And trust me, we get a LOT of stupid emails in Support because there are some idiots who ask the same thing each week. These guys ASKED Prince to run his online presence. Anthony Malzone was boasting about his achievements at Digital LA's Celebrity Websites Panel less than a month ago : http://prince.org/msg/13/331548 . He's got time for that but not to help out those who PAID for the website he's running? Bohemian67 said: They knew in advance that Prince would not continue with the site which seems at this point as if that's the case. Apparently, so was entering those names into the "do not renew" system. That's OK with you too? FYI: there are a gazillion of tools that help business run their operation. Tools where an automated system reads a mailbox, sends an auto-reply to the sender to acknowledge that the message was received and entered into the system ("and here is an ID you need to mention in further correspondence"), which have a back-end where users can then manage those messages. It's 2010, for fuck's sake. Bohemian67 said: They were also bound by a confidentiality clause to not disclose any info.
This is the dumbest thing I've read on this matter so far. So their situation was hopeless so they kept obeying a WORTHLESS order? If I were them I'd long spilled the beans. What's Prince gonna do, fire me? And once again, WE are the ones with the problem, according to you. "I'm getting fucked in the ass against my will? Oh well, serves me right for bending over to pick up this soap." If I ran the org, people like you would be banned and told to take your loveydovey "Saint Prince"-crap to some other site. Here's an idea: YOU go run FL.com and post your baloney there -- and when they sue the pants off of you, I hope you have the decency to stand up in court and apply the same idiotic logic to yourself. © Bart Van Hemelen

MJ was the King and Prince is the Prince. 2 completely different styles, both magicians in the music world. I do admit though that MJ was a more vulnerable and sensitive man than Prince, thus somewhat kinder to his fans. Boils down to personality I suppose and background. Dear LotusFlow3r.com members,
We were saddened to hear today that the earliest adopters of LotusFlow3r.com were charged $77 for a repeat subscription to the website. We did not expect this action to occur automatically as we had not set up a recurring billing script in our code. After getting on the phone with the payment gateway Authorize.net, we found that the subscriptions were being renewed on their end. I wonder how Authorize.Net likes that accusation. Hey, they're on Twitter: @AuthorizeNET and they seem to be replying to people tweeting them -- how about we all go ask them about this? Do they like being thrown under the bus by @Anthony_Malzone ? © Bart Van Hemelen
