Let's say we all get refunded for our 77 bucks in a week. What do you think the interest he will gain on that will be? How many people do you think were just charged that amount? Just a guess, but I bet he'll make at least 50,000 just in the interest for a week of having that many charges of 77 bucks in his account. Bank people, is that close? How many were a member of loserflow3r.com? The interest gained on that is probably more than most of us make in a year. Good job Prince. You owe us!

for him to earn that much Interest, I think he'd have had to have many times the members that lotusfuckup.com actually had.

If you go back and read Funkydiss's statement he said: Quote :Yeah? And why the fuck haven't they ever told us until this very minute? LOL! "

Well what is your reason SFOS why the LF Dteam didn't tell until now?

The ONLY reason they told you guys ANYTHING is because people were upset and they got caught. If the sheep just rolled over for another screwing and said nothing, they wouldn't have issued any statement. They would have just put that money in Prince's bank account so it could accrue interest while the flock waited for year 2 to begin.

All year long people kept saying that we just need to wait to see what kind of content would show up. People kept expecting something to happen and nothing did. Now the site just closes down and people get charged and they are pissed. Rightfully so.

But the excuses just keep coming. Put that crap in the toilet where it belongs exclaim

Prince has been doing his online ventures for 15 years now. That is more than enough time to figure things out. At this point it can't be anybody's fault but his own.

Yes, because P is sitting somewhere swiping the credit cards (LOL) Did you not read the statement that the company that handled the payment set up did the rebilling? Why is this so hard to understand that this was a mistake that has now been corrected? Move on with your life.

I'm not a lover or a hater - I don't KNOW the man he's just a stranger whose name and face I know. I love the music and I love the man for making it and sharing it with us. I know people are upset with P and are blaming him for this unfortunate mistake, but I can't go along with this "disrepecting his fans" attitude. I am sure in time this will all be sorted out we just need to be patient. If I made a mistake at work (as I often do) and my boss got the blame I'd feel bad. At the end of the day its only $77 a lot to some not so much to others, how would you feel if someone loses their job over this - I know I wouldn't feel good about that, jobs are not that easy to get right now, its not the end of the world, no one died, they apologised and it will get sorted. Much worse things are happening in the world than this, every day.

As they say in every life a little rain must fall - I just hope mine is purple.

I was billed on March 26 and was issued a refund on March 29. Unfortunately I had 4 transactions in the time between and was charged fees in the amount of $133.00. Fortunately, my bank reversed the fees...but what a hassle to be on the phone for over 20 minutes. Yes, my time is that valuable.

I notice a lot of complaining about how P does business but think of this, he is a musican not Donald Trump would you rather he spent his time going over the finer details of every enterprise he undertakes or spend that time in the studio doing what he does best - I know what I would prefer.

We all know P digresses all the time, he has to move quickly when he gets an idea in his head and sometimes that means that the finer details get over looked and he may from time to time change his mind and move on to something else quickly - it can be annoying but I would prefer that he tried - some things work some don't but surely by now we all know to take everything with a pinch of salt.

Another thing to consider - this can't last forever one day he might just up and say, you know what I don't need this stress anymore - I don't think he would ever give up making music but maybe he might just up and go away and then where and what would we all be doing ??? complaining mostly it would seem.

Personally if it all ended tomorrow (no more music for you) I would be a little sad but happy that I got to hear and appreciate as much as I have.

I got slammed with the $77 charge too. On top of that I got hit on my birthday. I called VISA and told them about the charge and told them Prince was responsible and they had a good laugh. I then started thinking about the expense that is Prince and did some math...

Purple Rain movie tickets circa 1980's: $50 (I saw it more than once and took family)
Purple Rain t-shirts, keychains, buttons: $100
Love Sexy Concert tickets: $400
Misc. albums/tapes/cd's: $1,000 (I bought a lot.)
Prince's former website: $25 for a lifetime membership (that was quick)
Musicology Concert tickets: $900 (I know)
Hotels/outfits/food/transportation for concerts: $1,000 (easy)
Number of times I have defended Prince: countless
Lotusflow3r membership: $77
"New" unrequested charge: $77

Prince, you are officially up when it comes to you and I. I would love to get my $77 back.

Neither - I'd rather he employed a manager and empowered them to do their job.

Perhaps then he could focus on doing ONE thing properly. Lately he's not been doing either job particularly well.

That's all warm and fuzzy touched

When will people wake up? The defense that "P is an musician not a businessman" Or "He just needs to hire better people" is lame.

1st off, we all know he is a control freak who does things the way he wants to and when he wants to period. So he IS in total control. Just look at the way the Lotus site launched with a timer and riddles and now the way the orb fades to black. All deliberate and by his design.

2nd, He lives in "Princeland" where he flip-flops on his statements, views, and plans on a whim. Can't tell you how many times in the last 28-29yrs. that I've been a devote fan hear him say things like he'll never tour again until he finds the Ladder, never play 1999 live again, retire his hits live, free the music, just to name a few. I'm sure his fellow JW will find this out sooner or later when he moves on from that too. Well hopefully on that last one. lol wink

He needs to teach what he preaches.

People need to realize that there is a difference from complaining and whining and feeling used and burnt. Especially the long time die-hards that have supported him. He's treated the fans that have created fansites as criminals!

In the last 4-5 years he has treated his fans like they are a bunch of rabid non spiritual peasants and he is the almighty whatever.

So call this bitching, moaning, or complaining. I could care less. If you want to be used and be happy with it so be it.

I guess it just bothers me that one of my heroes in life has lost touch with his fans and reality.

Yes, it did say it would happen. But you would assume that there would be something to be renewing. Since the site has now all but disappeared, there is a HUGE problem with taking people's money without having anything to give them for that money. You wouldn't go into a high street shop, give them $77 (or any other amount) and walk out without having actually purchased anything... would you?

I love this site...and I love Prince music...but I hate all of you peeps that think that what has happened with Prince (sites, artist) is something that is personal. I have been in "the business" for a long time...and all ya'll folks that I know as "regular people" need to hear what i am 'bout to say...

Prince wants your approval, but, as an artist (weirdo, self-centered guy) will not listen or abide by what YOU think is right or wrong. He is "inspired" by his "creator"/"God" and thinks that "mortal" opinions are irrelevant! Yes, his website business did not work out...but, only because his "God" did not want it too....really....he is not moved by "fams" he is moved by his "creator"!.

Fams!...stop wasting your time whining and complaining about how Prince is not listening....he WILL NOT LISTEN TO YOU! Alot of artists do listen to their fanbase....for example, Erykah Badu, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, and David Bowie...and those artists fan base ask only that they give them high-quality music in the genre that they love. The only artist of that group that really doesn't is David Bowie...but his fan base is unique in that they expect something different, yet high-quality and well thought out! Prince....on the other hand pretends to think that his fans want something new and innovative when all he is capable of is the same thing with new gadgets....he spent years pretending that he was giving us all something "new" when really is best stuff ending up being rehashed old stuff (w/o Wendy & Lisa) which is not as good...

My point is:

1) Yes, he rocked circa 1979-1989
2) He got cocky and dropped the Revolution and subsequently ruined his music career after...
3) After '89 he was still a talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter..
4) Had/has one of the best live shows during 1980-20-- (till today)
5) Brilliant musician/terrible business man
6) Has fans (fams) that take him too seriously personally (as if what he does affects their daily life)Prince, unfortunately feeds off of you guys....
7) And finally, my ultimate point is...Prince: Talented African-American, made history for African-Americans.....AND is a HUMAN BEING...who is, until the day he dies, will be HUMAN! Good Music DOES NOT = GOOD HUMAN!

These just your opinions as always but there are folks that say Lotusflow3r is his best album all the same others say the The Gold Experience was his best album, NOT best but actually their favourite. As with the live performances i've seen him many time since 88 and my favourite changes with the wind (with the exception of the 98 tour with Larry and Chaka, good but now way near the others)

But then this is just MY opinion lol

The second time I saw him Live was with Larry and Chaka! yes it rocked..never had the privledge to see him prior '96....anyway....Lotusflow3er was a very good album...best since Rainbow Children....and that is not beef...the beef is with his promotion, and how the "fams" are taking it...he is not good at self-promotion..his music speaks for itself..his life shows are the ultimate..but he is NOT a business man...its actually not suprising...most artists are not business people...but usually they have enough self-awareness to acknowledge that. Prince made one good move back in the 90's (leaving Warners and deciding to promote himself on the internet) and keeps trying to rehash the same move over 10 years later...

Sorry, but he can be viable on the internet, but he must be willing to be advised by people who are willing NOT to be his 'yes men'...

That whole situation where he and Clay's company didn't "sign a contract" is RIDICULOUS!!" If a proper contract had been signed the Prince and his Corp. would have been responsible for follow-through with providing content (exactly how much, and when it was delivered). The whole I don't believe in contracts bull is not/can not work when you have a franchise name like "Prince" in the mix....

Prince wants his cake and to eat it too! In other words..make money, without contractual consequences...WE ALL KNOW IN THE REAL WORLD it does not work that way....artistic freedom = not much money!!! I hate to admit it, but...its true..

Personally if it all ended tomorrow (no more music for you) I would be a little sad but happy that I got to hear and appreciate as much as I have.

just a thought

eek Ohhhhh Pleeeeezzzzeeee~~~!!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!

I hear ya and I do understand why people feel bad but to say we all know how much of a control freak he is - well do we ? how do we ? and people never change do they? All I am saying is we aint living his life how do we know anything ?

I think that Prince will come up with something...around June! Eventhough, he doesn't "celebrate" his birthday (in public), I think he or he and a band will appear somewhere.

As I was saying...Prince will come up with something...like a European Tour! Sooner than I thought. You heared it from me first, NOT Dr.Funkenberry. (but I love Dr.Funkenberry)
