If it is 40 bucks you will see no Prince concert. 500 dollars, but that would be a five hour Sly jam session.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Amazing!! The complaining has already begun. I spent $20 to get in a local club in Detroit last week just for a local DJ. $40 is not really that bad. You will surrounded by other Prince fans and listening to Prince and related music. Any bar or club thats worth a damn you will spend $40 easily and be around alot of people you really don't like. Hanging out with a bunch of Prince fans seems like fun.

Trax, sure, 40 bucks for a 3 hour concert by Prince where he plays a bunch of obscure stuff. How about that!

No, live too far away. But I hope you can go, have a great time, and share it with us. Seems like a fun gig for a holiday weekend. wink

Don't know about Prince--but Eric Leeds and Paul Peterson (as LP Music) will be playing as part of the party on Saturday at 10:30. Paul sent out an email on that today. And D'Angelo's in town apparently (playing at First Avenue, it seems--is the ceiling fixed?), with LP Music opening. So...

I'm in Arkansas, so I don't have to decide if I'm putting up 120 dollars on an off chance there'll be a show by Prince on at least one night--but if I were in town, I might risk it.

For the first time in my devotion to Prince's career since 1978, I actually thought the same thing. I thought of the Yahoo streaming fiasco that was a total embarrassment with the underage under-talented flunkies like Josh and that sorry little chick who was supposed to be the MC

If you have been to a party at paisly park you would know that Prince is usually there, performing or not, but if it starts at 9:30 I doubt he will be out b4 midnight. And you will most likely see him perform at the last show (sunday) I have been to about 7 paisly park concerts, each time it was $25 and everytime Prince played for 2 hours or more, he actually talked to my sister and I for a little bit at one show. But I have to warn you, you may be waiting for several hours for Prince so wear comfortable shoes!

And, yet again, Prince proves how little he cares for the schedules and budgets of his fans.

This of course, will be attended by those who live near or can afford to make such a trip to go see it.

Perhaps this time, he may actually play more than 2 or 3 songs from release party--His AOA release party was a disaster, as are most of his endeavors of late.

Seriously, even a month's notice & I might have tried it, but this is really ridiculous.

How easy is it to get in? Just tickets on the door? Is there any risk from selling out and not getting in?

Thinking about heading from the UK, as got the time off at the moment. Don't want to make the trip if no chance of getting in

Get on the plane your odds are very good to get in.stay at the Fairfield or Country In. And Suites in Chanhassen Minnesota.
The Park holds 600-800 people for sure and this shouldn't draw that many especially if it's on for three separate nights.

Paisley's big room capacity is 1,850.
http://www.princevault.co...rk_Studios
http://www.rollingstone.c...t-20131006

Being a holiday weekend, a lot of locals are out of town, but this probably isn't worth road tripping in for.

With Friday's music rumored to be Grrrl Prty,
and Saturday being LP Music,
it's looking a little slim for any Prince performance (no confirmation that 3rd Eye members, other than maybe the Weltons, are even in town).

For Sunday, First Ave announced there will be a Questlove DJ set after in the Mainroom for D'Angelo ticket holders, which dashes some hopes that they would head to Paisley for a late night gig.

...Another prime opportunity wasted, it's looking like at this point- whoever is advising him on Marketing and/or promotion, needs to be fired, and he needs to stop having "Yes" men (and women) around him.

There's a sign in the big room on one of the back walls at pp that says capacity 1400, not sure if it'll be packed but seems like quite a few peeps are coming in from out of town...

Prince could announce a free concert
And give everybody 2
Months notice and people would bitch that he didn't pay their airfare and hotel accommodations. If you can't go , get over it sheesh.
If you don't wanna pay $40, don't go !

GRRL PRTY's DJ, Shannon Blowtorch, has posted on her facebook page that they're playing Paisley Park tonight, so looks like that's confirmed.
