This was clearly advertised as and "International Dance Party" for $40. Night 3 reverted back to night 1's experience. No sightings of Prince, and an early shut-down time. I went to the D'Angelo concert at First Avenue, so I didn't get to Paisley Park until 1:30am. Liv Warfield was onstage funking it up again, but I hoped right in line to take the last studio tour of the night. I've heard many say this, but it really was worth $20. He has like 4 or 5 different studios. We got to hear some new songs again, then watched Kirky J and Donna jam for a minute in the big studio before leaving.

Now to the sad part of my night 3 experience. Of course everyone was hoping Prince would perform, so once Liv got done, people started congregating in front of the main stage in the big room. Once again, there were no instruments set up, so it didn't look promising. I was in the lobby socializing after our tour, then all of sudden the lights come on and everyone is being asked to make there way out. It was only 2:00am, and I had only been there 30 minutes. So basically I paid $60 for the studio tour ($40 entry + $20 tour), then had to shut it down for the night. I talked to my peoples that were there all night and they said no one saw Prince at all.

So here's my vent. Prince had a chance to make everyone very happy, even more so than Saturday, but he chose not to. There were a lot of people there, and many of us came from either another country or another state. Instead, he once again chose to leave people feeling used for their money, and also hurt his future chances of getting that many people to come support his endevors unless they know for sure he's performing. He could've just done a 1 hour set and people would have supported him forever, but a lot of people are done taking chances with Prince. It cost too much money to gamble on Prince, and he doesn't seem to care. So this was not a good night, and the energy proved it. It was nothing like Saturday. People have to learn to not expect a nything from Prince, but Prince has to learn to give his loyal supporters what they want sometimes. It's a two way street, and overall this was a dead end for those of us who are experienced Paisley Parkers. For the newbies, Saturday made the weekend worth it. Keep Prince in your prayers, because no one knows why he was so evasive.

Anybody come from another state especially another country deserve to see this arsewhole or knucklehead! Thats a damn shame. Reminds me of a post someone made on another thread, "Prince has been screwing his fans for years"!

I guess people thought that this time he will play for sure, Plus there was a little bit of advanced notice about the event , which made people "go for it".

As much as fun they probably all had, If I was shelling about 2000$ for this kind of trip and P didn't hit the stage...Well... I would be more than disappointed.
It's a lost opportunity for the fans and publicly (from a PR point of view).

He will probably do another event soon, give a 10 hours notice as usuall , and put on a 2 hours gig

just because he can do what he freakin' wants

The problem is that these zero - notice events are geard towards locals.

He gets the same crowd over and over basicly.

As other said - This PP parties are very "hit and miss", I would not gumble my money on it.
Rather spend it on a confirmes show.

to me the post reads like someone didn't get the party announcement, which clearly stated the weekend event was a 'dance party'. this means - no prince performance. sometimes, when prince does show up and play for us at 'dance parties' it's easy to get the idea that he will do so every time. he may or may not, depending upon the vibe? i really don't know.

but, he does what he does. and judging from him being assaulted on saturday, chased down by fans, i'd say he was right not to risk his safety out onstage at any other time. poor man. can't even enjoy his own parties. guess that's the price of fame? anyway, as others have said, the weekend was always going to be a "dance" party, and was advertised as such. it was a ton of fun and we got a bonus album preview. good enough for me!!!

All I can say is my friance and I flew in, had a blast, got to chat with Liv, Joshua, Hanna and Donna, even had Prince call in on speakerphone and chat during our studio tour sat night. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. No other artist has a place like Paisley where he lets you in, hang, dance, etc. Yes it would have been awesome if he did a concert, but I'll survive. (1st world problems). Love the new CD, love all the fans, and just grateful for the purple one overall.

He did have 3 or 4 bodyguards around him, but he normally doesn't when he is there. People usually respect his space. Bodyguards or not, it still had to catch him off guard. He turned around and had this look on his face like WTF.

And he barely shows up? Also Prince is like a exotic animal, a rare gem, of course newbies were ahh struck? People rarely to get see Royalty or Genius's and not be mesmerized. hee hee By the way what kinda of car is P rolling in these days? Lamborghini, Masearati, Ferrari, Bugatti, MBnzAMG, or Honda?
