Those can't b the girls. Th...th
..the experts said. They said prince dropped the 3rdeyegirl project and that he'd moved on. Those must be spirit-images Prince stored in old, empty 'Get Wild' oah duh turrlit bottles, it's all in Non-Disclosure Agreement. Cuz like the experts say, I firmly believe prince is sitting in a darkened Control Room B, copping a debaucherouse pose. Hands poised for evil with just the fingertips touching. This aids the 'mwah-haha-ah-haha-haha-ahhh' that's beginning to eminate from his soul as he devises ways to ruin his career. He achieves this by doing the opposite of anything his fans want and suggest.....all for the simple reason being...that they want it.

These behaviors magically fill his 'debauchery-token' coffers which he then tradesnfkr Chuck E. Cheese's tokes. He uses these to study the choreography and musical arrangement of the Chuck E. Cheese's animatronic house band performance. Something he has the deepest desire to replicate, but hasn't yet honed his talents and skill enough to bring it to MontreAux or Glastunburry and turn the world inside out with it.

Are U there god? Its me,BobGeorge909. Why am I so crazy? Thank u in advance, Gizzle 'o' DoublebDizzle.

This means good news of album release(s) about to happen too!!!

With the steep prices for teh arena gigs and yes, the possibilitie of it back firing, I am sure we can expect a media storm the coming days to stimulate the sales ... i.e. the 3EG album and the 30th aniversary PR box set. That will create the hype needed for the shows to sell out.

Exactly ... When he was at the o2 we had hits... Actually i don't recall Prince ever not doing hits except maybe at the gold experience at wembley arena but forgive me as it was my first concert and i was quite young and have no idea what the set list was but all i know is i frikkin loved it!

Yeah, when you were at the O2 you had hits.. because you had the full NPG. He can't play his classics (Purple Rain, When Doves Cry, Raspberry Beret, Kiss, U Got The Look, Cream, Controversy, 1999, Little Red Corvette... you know the rest) with just guitar, bass and drums.. he needs the full band.

3rdEyeGirl are a stripped down rock n' roll band. They don't do the synth soaked minneapolis funk-pop he is famous for.

Prince sells out arenas based on his classic back catalogue and image as a legendary 80's/90's "pop star" - 3EG don't cater to that audience, they cater to the 'true' Prince fans who know the rest of his music and look forward to new releases.

Unfortunately, there aren't enough of those "true" prince fans in the UK to sell out 4 arenas. Bringing the NPG would make way more sense, it's just simple business.

The Hop Farm show. That's the kind of thing he needs to do.

But these shows will probably sell out because of the back catalogue to "that audience". Wonder how that audience will react once the show is on the way....

Gonna give it a miss - the £75 for the KOKO gig has left me a little jaded and I realised when he played Take Me With U and Purple Rain (that's 15% of the entire setlist for the gig listed right there) I was bored of hearing them. The price, size of venue and likely hood of it being 80s-hit heavy means that I can't afford to go and I don't really mind...if somebody gave me a ticket then I'd go but for the first time ever I really not that fussed

Anybody think we'll be able to buy a copy of Plectrum Electrum at the gigs? Or will we receive a copy with the ticket entry or something? Did Prince not give Planet Earth to the fans at the O2 shows?

ok get that he won't be doing "band" versions of those songs and probably be on the DJ set or surprise us with rocked out versions but this is no reason he won't sell arenas. I personally am not a fan of those DJ sets and I really think the exaggeration of songs he played are due to snippets of the songs. But back to my point... he will sell out.

We all have slight expectations when we go and see a band. Personally I get the biggest thrill when I get to see something different. Adam Ant last month? Punk rock, no 80s. Lots were possibly dissapointed but it's up to the band what they play.

Each time I go and see a band I would like them to be supporting their latest material. Sure throw in a couple of hits if they have them. I even like it when they play covers because at the end of the day you are there because you like music and, more so, live music. If all you really want is a greatest hits tour then only go to see those shows. If they aren't listed as such then don't expect them.

As far as Prince and casual fans? Well if they don't get the hits then tough shit. Go see some pop act if that's your thing. Prince, as they will learn, is about real music not stage fireworks, lasers, waterfalls, big screens and flying monkeys. Music is something that you hear, not see. Go watch Take That for those thrills. Or Beyonce. Or Miley Cyrus. Or Justin Beiber.

Although luckliy with Prince we do get to see someone who knows how to work the stage. So many bands literally just stand there and play with seemingly no passion or interaction. That makes me sound slightly hypocritical I know but some bands really are bland to watch.

Either way I don't think I'll be going to Brum. One, my chances of getting out of my training day on Friday to buy tickets will be slim, two, I can't really afford it (wife's birthday in June + overdraft from Feb MCR show to pay off) and, three, I really don't think he's gonna beat the performance he gave in February. A large stadium really can't compare to being a few feet away in a small intimate venue for a three hour MASTERPIECE of a performance. It was a real intense couple of weeks back then. Twitter alive, news media chasing him, fights outside tiny clubs, paying for a hotel before even having tickets, queuing for hours, the first roar as we heard his voice, the second ROAR as we saw him. He truly is a god wink

Yes, he can.

Would they sound like the record? No (to a greater or lesser extent dependant on the song).

Would that be a bad thing? No...

Anyway, people are going to buy tickets for this to see Prince - not 3EG, not The NPG, hell, not even The Revolution.

I would think that the 4 UK shows will be healthily attended. Using the o2 dates as a comparison - he played to around 400K people, so I reckon banking on selling around 60K , even at double the price) seems a reasonable point to pitch the dates at. £65 tickets also seem reasonable - gigs at the Hydro seem to have averaged out at this sort of price over the past 9 months or so

However, having said all that, I don't think anyone who's on the ball enough to be near a computer at noon on Friday will have trouble getting a ticket.

Yep...I'm consistant at least. Nah, I just knew I'd be able to afford 1 show this year and it's just a shame that I took my chance with queueing for that one as it looked like the last roll of the dice. If it's a hits arena show again then I'm not bothered but if it turns out to be the full show KOKO should have been (and Manchester was) then I'll be gutted to have had my 1 chance back in Feb and missed this one...but,as I say,it was always going to be 1 show only at those prices

The problems of being a Prince fan! I'm lucky in that I've never felt short changed with a gig performance but have frequently felt less than blessed when it came to Prince, sometimes through my own prior plans (on holiday when he played UK in 93 and 97 and for most of these upcoming dates), sometimes through (ex!) girlfriends lack of perseverance (not wanting to queue outside The Garage in Glasgow), and - of course - sometimes through Prince's inconsistency ( I was at ONA Manchester gig with no soundcheck access for NPGMC members, and the only Indigo after party with no band appearance of any sort!).

On the other hand, I've attended some of the best gigs I have ever seen by anyone, anywhere (and I've seen a lot of gigs) - and that's even when Prince is having a bad day at the office! So, swings and roundabouts and all that!

Is this site legit though? I would imagine tickets would be sold through ticketmaster first... And there is no info of the Prince show on the ziggo dome website either. Did you actually receive the tickets yet?
