No. Not in venues this size. 6pm / 6.30 pm is pretty standard doors opening for large venues, can't imagine Prince on stage until at least 7.30 but realistically nearer 8.30.

Wouldn't necessarily rule out an after show though....

Well I've decided to take the leap and aim for the Manchester shows...realistically I can't afford this but I'm going to take advantage of this unique circumstance of seeing his new band in both night club environments and essentially their debut arena gig! (Unless npg come along too, which is also welcome)

I managed to get dirt cheap train tickets from Virgin trains (WHOSE SALE ENDS TODAY FYI!) from Milton Keynes for £16 return...

So fingers crossed I actually get tix to go along with that train fair now(!)

Chuffed he's back just hope we get something pretty special with these gigs!

It'll be my tenth show in ten years of being a fan of his as well(!) biggrin

.

Doors at 6pm, support if they have any will normally be about 45mins/1 hour after doors, I think Curfew is around 10:30/11pm at the phones4u so i'd imagine he would want be be on stage for 8:30 at least.

.

Aftershow might be a possibility (Ritz has nothing advertised that night)

On the Manchester arena Web it says 8pm as start time and doors open at 6. I am so excited I can't sleep. I don't know whether to do standing or seated... Prince fans can be so horrible when standing. If you go for a pee you so have lost your spot as no one let's you through!!! mad

Ticketmaster for Manchester seated states £71.50 min plus booking fee, ouch! However, no price is too high for his "highness". smile I have left the wife a note for when she wakes up asking that she allows me to go, fingers crossed... smile

I did 5 hours queueing each day for the ticketed Academy shows and it was an endurance event, and detracted from the event in the end (even if I was 5 feet from him) so going for seated this time, nice meal, drink before show, turn up 10 mins before the man turns up, so much more relaxing...

So wish I could come! Made it to Friday night in manchester in February and will relive it in my head forever. The tout sites are gonna work overtime on this. Can I suggest the fans who have spare money buy extra tix and offer them to the rest who don't get face value tix over this site. I didn't get a ticket in the frenzy in February, but a kind hearted fan who got a spare ticket offered it face value on this site and I was lucky enough to spot it. We need to stick together and keep the touts out!!! It meant I had to meet up with the ticket holder and go in with him but hey! All prince fanatics together! We had a great time! I'll be out of the country but watching all posts here

Does anyone know the M.E.N well? What would be the best entrance for a standing ticket to get to the front?

Also, who's going to call the box office for tickets and who's going to get them online? Is one a better option than the other?

Will there be Golden Circle tickets for the gig in Birmingham and Manchester? I can see there will be Golden Circle tickets for the Amsterdam gig.

Come on people you know that no information whatsoever is the way forward, like so many others here im gonna sit this out and wait for the 02. Prince just took a dump on ticket sales with his childish teasing. We are adults who have lives and need to plan accordingly.

Me too. Cost, time off and Feb Manchester gig being so exceptional all play a part. Brum is close to me but really can't afford it and would only get to the gig late. If I could get the night off work that is. So we're not going. Greenman festival in August though!!!

Sort of same here, for me I have to fly from Norway for this anyway, bummer is now due to only being less than two weeks away, plane tickets are high and I would have to change planes as there are no direct planes to Birmingham/Manchester. If Prince would have a gig in London it would be cheaper for me, direct flights, and less time travel. Also if I knew this more than a month in advance travelling would be cheaper too...

Then add concert tickets, taxi, train, hotels, food and such...and it doesn´t get cheap.

Mines the cost plus 2 of the last 4 gigs I've been to have left me a bit disappointed. For me, no matter how crap the recorded output is, he's always pulled me back up live...of the last 4 gigs I've been to, 2 have bee really short (at least the O2 gig was only £32).

Personally he's had my £75 this year - I had 1 chance to go and it left me disappointed. Had that not been the case and had it been a proper show like Manchester,Shep Bush empire, 2nd KOKO gig etc then I would probably fight tooth and nail to make it happen....trouble is, for another £75, it's not worth the risk

Me too. Had a huge car repair bill of £1000 last month and just cannot afford it.

Very odd feeling but life goes on. I don't tend to follow Prince around the country and Birmingham LG would have been the closest one I would have gone for but O2 might be an option, if I can keep my normal spending down to an absolute minimum this month.

As it's 3EG I feel like I have seen that format of show at Shepherds Bush Empire back in Feb so I think I'll be cool with it if I don't see him again this year cool
