Bliss I could go on and on... Hes doing a full version of When Doves Cry? Damnit I asked in another thread if he also did full versions of a few other songs but I didnt get a reply. Usually he only does them on sampler sets.

Shortest set of the tour..2hrs 10 and that included him leaving the stage 3 times once for a prolonged period. Most sedate prince gig I've ever been to was weird. Had one of the best seats in the house and could see all of the standing area and most were just standing their even in the front rows. Was weird. Don't think Prince was feeling the audience either hence the shorter set. He was awesome though as ever. We were rocking in the seats though! My longest journey too. 4 hrs 30 on a bloody train.

He was on at 8.20 so it wasn't as if he was prevented by the curfew either!

It's still part of the sampler set. I don't understand how people can get exited about Prince triggering some samples (even if the band is playing along).
Has he done any proper versions of this song since 1990? [Edited 5/24/14 7:09am]

It was shorter, but personally I thought it was outstanding. I enjoyed Manchester too (wasn't too impressed with Birmingham) , but this seemed stronger and more impressive. Love that he actually threw his guitar this time, the poor roadie had to do a dive and slide on the floor to barely catch it. [Edited 5/24/14 6:56am] "My God it's full of Stars"

You must have been at a diffent show to everyone else, as it was not sedate. Went to all the shows over the 2 weeks except Glasgow and although not the best it wasnt the worse. And the lenght is around average for the shows.

[Edited 5/24/14 14:38pm] I agree Magenta it was a sedate performance until the costume change, I went to Manchester 16th and was about 4 meter from front and about 6 meters from front at Leeds and Prince just was not a happy and playful at Leeds, I said to myself he wasn t feeling it as much and my girlfriend who was blown away a Manchester thought he was tired or bored or both at Leeds, he was defo pissed of with something, we still had a great night but it did not compare to Manchester.

I hope everyone enjoys the shows! I've decided not to attend any Prince concerts until he's touring on a new album, with a few hits sprinkled in. I don't want to be nickle and dimed to death with a nostalgia review of the hits one more time. I'm glad to see that the ol' boy appears to be inspired again, so I'm really looking forward to the new album and what emerges as the year moves forward.

When there is an album he only ever does about 4 new songs anyway which is what we're getting now She Believed in Fairytales and Princes, He Believed the voices coming from his stereo

PR press release sent to media outlets this morning: PARIS, BERLIN & VIENNA SHOWS ANNOUNCED!! ‘Prince’s return to stadiums provokes hormonal spontaneous combustion’ The Guardian 5* review 20th May Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL continue their ‘Hit and Run Tour - Part II’ with the announcement of two shows in Paris at Zenith followed by shows in Berlin and Vienna. Both Paris shows are on Saturday June 1st with one at 18.00hr and a second show at 21.00hr. The tour moves on to Berlin with a show at the Temperdrom on Tuesday June 3rd and then to Vienna at Stadthalle on Saturday June 7th. Prince and the band (guitarist Donna Grantis, bassist Ida Nielsen and drummer Hannah Ford-Welton) have blown up arenas in England, Scotland, Holland and Belgium in a series of critically acclaimed shows announced at short notice. The UK shows were Prince’s first regional dates since 1995 as he took over arenas in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds. Switching the setlist up at each show Prince offers thrilling mix of brand new songs and catalogue favourites including some songs rarely performed in public. The shows so far have received 5 star reviews across the board with the Line of Best Fit reviewer describing the Birmingham show as ‘the greatest concert experience of my life’ and The Quietus proclaiming ‘Prince, you really are untouchable’. Praise has also been laid upon the band, with The Guardian describing them as ‘supreme’ and the405 saying ‘3RDEYEGIRL are genuinely the heaviest thing I have ever seen’. On the tour they have been performing select tracks taken from their highly anticipated 3RDEYEGIRL album ‘PLECTRUMELECTRUM’ which is set for release this year. The ‘Hit and Run Tour - Part II’ follows on from Part I which saw Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL take over special and intimate venues in London and Manchester this February for a series of history making spontaneous shows announced at the 11th hour via Twitter. Legendary venues included Ronnie Scotts, Electric Ballroom and Shepherds Bush Empire, with the band often playing up to three shows in one night. The Guardian said it best, describing the Electric Ballroom shows in this way: “These are performances by one of the greatest funk-rock bands ever.”

So looks like this has come to an end now. Funnily enough I don't have major depression like I normally do when Prince leaves. I don't think I over did it.. saw him 3 times and have had my fix. Thank you P for the amazing memories and shows . Hope he gets some well earned rest and lots of love to all those I've been conversing with during past few months! Whatever you heard about me is true

Happy for all you fellas who managed to see him live this year here in Europe. My plan was to go to Berlin until **cough** I saw the prices. Huge disappointment!
Still, on the website of this promoter (Dirk Becker) it says "Prince will come to Germany in the near future for more live shows". So there's still hoping for me.
