Exactly, look at other concerts, now they have those interactive arena charts where you can pick whatever available seats you want. It is even like that for Mohegan sun with Lady Gaga. If they want to charge more for prime seats, no problem, that is business and they are out to make money, but this was nuts!

The average concertgoer buys a ticket and then goes to the show. Simple. They don't buy a ticket and then spend the next three weeks checking Ticketmaster to see what other seats are available then repeatedly calling Ticketmaster to arrange to move their seat. I've only heard Prince fans go on about this "issue".

I totally agree, a lot of whining going on here. I just bought tix the day they went on sale(in section 24 - ok, not the best but at least I'll be there) and that was that. Actually, it was quite easy. If you are going great. If not, so be it. Maybe some of you are new to ticket buying but this type of thing is common. I have bought great seats to "sold out" shows on the day of the show numerous times. Tickets are held back for every single concert. That's just the way it is. I really doubt Prince could care one way or another how the tix are sold as long as he gets paid. It was his choice to play a casino in Connecticut.

You are probably right! We got spoiled by the NPGMC and can't handle being one of the many now!

Status quo across the board for any concert? Umm ... no. I go to plenty of concerts and sporting events, only casino shows pull this crap. Sorry to hear you find it acceptable, I don't and never will. The whole process for these shows has been an absolute joke.

Precisely! From the not one, not two, but THREE presales that allowed fans an exclusive opportunity to purchase crap seats ... to the announcements of "less than 1,000 available for each show" .... to the TM message saying "Not Many Left!" which disappeared a day later ... to the lowering of ticket prices in some sections ... this has been the most ridiculous ticket sale I've ever seen.

Lessons learned? Never again will I waste time and effort on presales, and never again will I buy tickets more than a day in advance.

"Never let nasty stalkers disrespect you. They start shit, you finish it. Go down to their level, that's the only way they'll understand. You have to handle things yourself."

What you are all seeing is the norm now in the concert business for tickets. Anyone who wanted to get good tickets coould have gotten them at the public or presale. Like any other artist there are tickets being held for artist, band sponsors... leading up to show what ever tickets are not taken are released back to public.most shows are sold 6 months in advance and tickets released thru out, given this was only 3 week selling period your seeing everything in quick motion...this show and how tickets are being distributed is today's world. Much different then 10 years ago when P last toured. (Back then they just put the VIPs at $750 on sale from beginning)

Hi Red, I can't quite agree because for the last tours, I purchased excellent seats through ticketmaster for shows in NYC Madison Square, lA, and Oakland. had so much fun with friends at the LA shows - was required to purchase two tickets to sit at the tables around the stage but that was all the more fun to be there with friends.

On a more serious note; based off of several FB and Twitter feeds, members of the NPG are headed to CT..With that said, , outside of 3EG, they are gonna play with one days rehearsal?

i read that Cassandra O'Neal & Shelby J will also be there. If true, I hope they only play on a few songs tomorrow night. I really just want to hear P & 3EG rock the house! And please no 70's covers sung by backing singers, I'm paying to see P. Can't wait!

Sunday evening - purchased a single tix.

Eye upgraded to front row for Sunday 12/29 and have 2 GREAT seats available in section 4, Row F seats 9 & 10. Eye was unsuccessful in getting a refund from Ticketmaster and would love to get these seats over to one of you Fams. TM said I could just do a ticket transfer on-line with soemone who already has an account. Please PM me if you're interested as I Eye would hate to see these tix go wasted not to mention be out of the $$. Thank U!! Everyone else who is going PARTY UP!

I had tickets in section 4 and sold them on Craigslist. I got tons of people responding. I offered them at face value and they were sold within one day. Just in case they don't go on the org.

Just cause they're headed to CT. Doesn't mean they didn't rehearse ahead of time. Prince keeps his bands rehearsed.

How do you upgrade on ticketmaster

The only way you can upgrade from what I saw via "Ficktyt" was to call the 800 # and speak with someone directly. If you're super fortunate that might work. What I was posting for is a Ticket Transfer which is done via Ticketmaster's site. Here I would send TM a notice including your e-mail provided you already have an account with TM set-up. The offer would be for the tickets to be transferred directly to you in your name and you would then print the tix on-line all 1000% verified via TM's site. Totally safe and agian all done through TM. You can look on-line and or call to confirm what I am saying, plus I have been on here for a long time and would NEVER hurt any fam. Just hate to waste great seats as I have upgraded to front row after buying these back on 12/9. $400 is a bit of money but P is so worth it given I have seen him 35 plus times and would still pay twice as much for these seats.

The tickets I am still offering are excellent floor seats for Sunday Night (final Show)Sec 4 Row F seats 7 & 8. $ 200. Face value and another $ 28 in processing fees. This is exactly the same as having bought these tix 3 weeks ago like Eye did. U send me an orgnote along with your email address and Eye can send U the offer where you either accept or decline. It is very easy provided U have a TM account whcih most if not all on this site must have.

You're just a simple orgnote away from great seats to see the main man.
