Looks like I'll be turning down the free ticket for Take That on Monday the 4th, just in case. I can see Prince popping up for 4th of July...All the Critics, Purple and Gold, America!
Free on Monday night....the Forum at Cambridge. Come on Princey. You know you want to.
What about a warm up show on Friday / Saturday?
He's got the Poland show the night before.
My bet is he will book into the Dorchester on Sunday and stay the week before heading off to the North Sea Jazz.....unless he squeezes Dublin in too. . |

Sounds like a plan, I need a small venue show. Festivals and large shows are better than nothing but nothing is better than Prince in a small club/theatre. RIP |

it is possible he will give a show that week. From the 3rd of july till the 8th he is free...
But he can also give a show before the stade de france gig on the 30th. He still has an apartment in paris...And he can give blablablablablablablablablabla.............anything is possible, but as the guy says expect the unexpected...... |

Not being a prince fan my self (only on here as my gf is) whats it normally like getting tickets for a prince show in the uk? I have many a time in the past go tickets for oasis gigs which has not been a great expereince with websites crashing etc due to demand. Is that something i can expect tomorrow?
I see the capicity is 53k so hopefully that should be plenty?
i wouldnt hang about...demand to see him live in the uk is usually pretty high...he sold 400,000 tickets for the o2 in 2007 so i would get on to the website around 9am tomorrow morning.. http://www.eventim.co.uk/hopfarm
.
.
ive always found theres a lot of hype the sites crash people panic and then several days later theres still tix available! having said that ill still be there at 8.59 and counting but i have to get a disabled ticket which proves trickier usually as most venues dont cater too well online and you end up calling, still they have promised online tix just hope theres a disabled section so i can actually get in the field! |

so would i....but 95 per cent of the crowd there wont know them...not much point in playing stuff to a lot of fair weather prince fans that they wont know...i would like to hear him play endorphine machine....least a fair percentage of the crowd might know that one....and it feckin rocks live..i think he will play the usual hits and a few rock covers...probably looking at a 90 min set here....it wont be 3 hours long....
.
.
then back to the aftershow tent for the REAL show for his die hard fans...4 hours of obscure prince songs all night long....
.

They just had a report on BBC South East Today about the event, interviewing locals who seemed pretty enthusiastic!
They also had a clip from Vince Power (the promoter) saying its all confirmed and the news commentator said that the contract would have had to be pretty watertight for it to be announced like that!
Let's hope it all goes ahead then we can have the show plus a tented afterparty!! |

From the BBC
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news...s-13437081
Pop star Prince is to perform his first ever UK festival show at the Hop Farm in Kent, organisers have said.
The 52-year-old singer will perform on 3 July at the Tunbridge Wells event - his first UK concert since his 21-date residency at the O2 arena in 2007.
Prince's appearance will add an extra day to the two-day event, at which The Eagles and Morrissey will also perform.
Festival organiser Vince Power said he was "really excited" about adding the Purple Rain star to the bill.
"We have worked hard to get the third day up and running and we hope that fans will appreciate the integrity of the bill," he added.
Prince is confirmed to perform at the Open'er festival in Gdynia, Poland on the day before his Hop Farm appearance.
Yet the Minneapolis pop legend - whose many hits include Kiss, When Doves Cry and Raspberry Beret - has left fans disappointed in the past.
In February, the singer had been expected at a charity concert in Dallas only to pull out in mysterious circumstances.
He was also due to perform at Dublin's Croke Park in June 2008, only to cancel shortly before the event.
which is why i aint spending my hard earned dough on this

That's a shame that you will miss out because of a "what if" - that's no way to live!
I'll be there - half an hour away from me and happens to be the only weekend I don't have a festival gig myself! Bonus!

Yes. Prince is also doing the tombola draw at 3pm. Then judging the motorcycle display team competition. As part payment, he can have as much free chutney as he wants. Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad. |

BRING FOOT SPRAY... And not just cos it's gon be funky. That sheep shit can kick up a bit.
I can't be arsed to hear the same old set but he's gigging 40 minutes away from me... Mmm, what to do? If I don't bother, then he does an impromtu afterparty that I coulda gone to as well I'll kick myself all year. Who's got a coin?
Parking at The Hop Farm is usually no worries btw. Chuck it in a field, job done. Or... Let the rain come down, down and be there longer doing wheelspins. |

can't your friends buy their own tickets? it's up to 30,000 capacity in the middle of a field, no seats so you don't need to get sequential ticket numbers |
