Still cant believe the news!! This is on a par with Madonna doing the Radio 1 Big Weekend in Maidstone in 2008...Maidstone being 8 miles from my house, it was like having the lady play in my back garden!!

And now Prince comes to little Paddock Wood, about 16 miles from where I live....this unreal! biggrin

Now if Springsteen could could come play in my front room, that'll complete the set! lol

Neither can I believe it!

It's only half an hour from my home and I was born near there!

Safe. Its not one of those impressive but annoying giants that block the stage at Glasto, Its a thin pole with a 1 foot triangle on top which identified where my tent was!

Sweet!! I'll keep an eye out for that in the day then biggrin

Be nice to meet up with all the Orgers that got together on the last show of the O2 stint...we met at the Holiday Inn then went up to the Pilot Inn Pub, then the Raan Bar in the arena if memory serves...met some great folks that night, a reunion would be awesome!

Might even dig out my "Veni Vidi Funki" t-shirt that Lord made for us for the last night show.

This should be a sticky

Does anyone know if it'll be televised?

I don't know if I can stand near the front all day long to see P in the evening without being able to goto the toilet, cos if you leave the front at any time it may be impossible to get back.

I tried in vain to get Glastonbury tickets this year, thinking that Prince would headline, now its just as well I didn't as I can see him now in my back yard!

I live on the Ashdown Forest, nr East Grinstead.

Any ideas about last trains and stuff? Especially for a Sunday sad I'm spoiled and am used to everything being in London confused I'm thinking a B&B, cheekily asking my auntie to let me turn up at her house in a taxi at midnight, or being on a big high after Prince and finding an all night McDonalds in the nearest town until the trains start running again hmmm

Getting there, getting back, a long day, a field, far from the stage. I saw him at 3121 Las Vegas and many nights at the Indigo so was a little peeved above seeing him as a dot. BUT... and I blame you (we met I think at Hammersmith during ONA 2002), I know you will pitch up in a good place.

Agree with that. Last train is 11:30, which is the exact time of the curfew. So may be a long walk back. Im thinking about calling in a favour, but hey you got 2 months to figure logistics out.

I still have mine from the last night at the O2. Sadly just a useless piece of plastic now but I do hoard these things for sentimental value.

Funny how they're charging £8 card fee. How else can you pay?!

Still, 2 tickets with all fees and postage (you gotta have a proper ticket!) cost £160. Then there's just the £10 for petrol for the 60 mile round journey. Cheaper than a return flight to Geneva a couple of years back and cheaper than the day trip to Arras last year. cool

We ain't from Hollywood, so you know it's all good
