Awesome, you totally lucked out! Thanks for your posting, I was able to switch my seats from Section 13 F to Section 21 D, I'm so psyched!!! Thanks for your indirect help Unfortunately the extra 2 tickets I bought initially in the loge can't be refunded according to TM because they were presale tix, ah well, I've got a couple more days to try and sell...

Well you guys lucked out because when I called Ticketmaster yesterday, they only had seats in the 100s/200s/300s/400s and I couldn't switch my seat in section 93 to anything lower or closer because they claimed they didn't have anymore available in the lower sections, maybe I'm not calling the right number.. so I guess I'll stick with section 93, which really isn't a bad view, and I didn't want to have my seat lower than the height of the stage so that I couldn't see the entire stage. Oh come on, you had to know the purple fever was going to set in before 2/7...go ahead and confess... (j/k)

No problem of course..I have been helped on this board by a few as well....
I did the same...I just sold my presales and traded up my other seats/refunded...
Try Ebay, craigs, facebook, here..etc...You may loose a bit but it may be worth it if you got the seat you wanted...
Now my only dilemma is I was supposed to go w my husband to the concert but he has a very sick family member and had to leave...So....I hope one of my other friends will trek up to NYC with me for a Monday night..If not, who knows..I too will have an extra seat...

I did ask for the Loge but they only had 74/75 which is behind the stage in my opinion so I took the 125 section...enjoy!!

CrazyL,
Persistence pays off. I finally got my seat changed from section 93 to section 85 and a closer seat to the aisle which is what I wanted because I hate sitting in the center of a row, and have to climb over a lot of people when I have to get up.
I tried 4 times to exchange my tix, and finally was successful in getting it changed. Now I have to pick the tix up at will call. The rep on the phone told me that MSG and Radio City Music Hall have strict rules about exchanging tix, but she was able to help me. First she was going to mail it priority mail, but it's suppose to snow again on Saturday, and I didn't want any last minute delays, especially with the way the snow has been hitting NYC lately. Anyway so glad I didn't give up trying. [Edited 2/3/11 16:57pm]

I'm glad it worked out for you! The rep I dealt with told me that his supervisor said that you can exchange as long as it's for equal or more value.
I'm looking forward to meeting you this time! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I called 4 times this week, and the 4th time paid off, and you're right they said the exchange had to be equal or greater. The thing is, the rep yesterday never said that, but he did try looking for seats in the lower section and all he could come up with yesterday, were seats in 100 and above. When I read here that folks were getting their tix exchanged, I decided to take one more chance and call. I think because they released some loge seats today is why I finally lucked out, and the fact that it's getting closer. It seems they're getting more tix sold as well. They had a few floor and other seats in sections 16, 22, 23, 26, 35.

How is the view from Section 36 Row B?
One of my tickets is for that Section, I wonder if I should change this ticket as well. Anybody, who sat on Section 36 or in the next Section 35 how far you were and could you see piano well?
thanks | |

Well, I did my tax return and it went well, so I very impulsively bought absurdly priced tickets in Section D, Row D. I have wanted to go over and over again- I live in CT, but my father had sudden cancer these last few months and we lost him. I wish I could have gone with him to Prince one time actually, because my dad was an accomplished musician himself, still young, and one of these shows would have been it, but it was not meant to be. I actually don't say this for any kind of sympathy- it is what it is, but for context, this is my first outing since last month and I am so friggen stoked. I tried a couple weeks ago to go to nyc for spiderman the musical of all things (curiosity), but a blizzard killed that one-- they did the show to no one too.. but no refund. I guess they aren't stupid. But I'm trying again, with something much more awesome... PRINCE.
Prince- I dunno, I would get sled dogs and mush to get there, and at least I can now. But I also say all that as a self-justificstion in the fact that I impulsively bought VIP tix becausem again, they couldn't be more absurdly overpriced if they tried. I will say that if I were Prince and I knew I could charge what he is charging, I suppose I probably would, but I would probably temper myself a little more than he has. I have never seen him more than 50 or 60 feet away- first concert in Worcester at a club/old theather on election night in 2000; soundcheck, show and aftershow in NYC in 2002; many musicology shows inclusing MSG: mostly through the NPGMC, which were still expensive for the time, but reasonable all the same and very worth it. Some who haven't seen him may call me spoiled to complain, but I can't even imagine being 50 rows away in a place like MSG. It is too much of a hell of an experience down close, at least in the past.
I worry, based on the way people are talking about this stage, that somehow the view will be screwed. I am actually hoping that since we are at the "tip" and four rows back, we will be able to see the center of the stage, the screen, and, of course, when he comes and walks down to our area. I am actually more worried, that when people are paying as much as they are, that they will not be at all "cool" or funky the way I've experienced at every other prince show, blackwell show, the time, or frankly anything. I have so much fun with you all, and other than some badass prince jams, it's you guys that make it. Did anyone else pay way too much that I will see down in my area, or somewhere similar? Can anyone comment on the vibe down in front? I did buy ticket insurance so I could always cancel and rebuy if it would really be better elsewhere in the place, but I miss that vibe. I need some funk and some fun! Starrfighter

I am also in the 400's for this one. I had great seats for the the 12/17 show at the Izod. I'm just glad to be there! It sounds about the same no matter where you sit. I mean we all hear the same thing whether we pay 30 or 1000. I would love to go to an afterparty though. That would be worth VIP, if you got to go to the afterparty as a part of the ticket price.

I ended up selling my extra tickets on Craigslist, I lost quite a bit being that this is not a sold out show and people don't get the concept of the 360 stage but I guess getting a few dollars back is better than nothing at all, I'll be a pro on ticket buying the next time around as I've learned the scam of the presale lol. I'm excited about the show tomorrow though, can't wait!!!!!!!! Did you ever find someone for your other ticket? Sorry to hear about your husband, hope all works out!

Also looking very forward..easily found someone to go...and hoping this is the best show of all:)
