You can get Sky News on Freeview (channel 82 i think it is). Woolies and Argos sell the settop boxes for around £20 (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5320754.htm) ... if you're in an area that can receive Freeview that is. Gotta be worth 20 quid hasn't it?!!

Personally I think that he will sing a couple of his new songs because he has been saying that this is the last time he will be doing his old hits, maybe he wants to move forward instead of just being remembered for his old hits. Maybe this is a kick-off to the next level, musically speaking! I think this makes sense since as someone mentioned on some thread, that he's trying to sanitize his image. Maybe he doesn't want to be remembered just for the outrageous and provocative things he did but reflect his now matured flavor!

Anyone who's a fan, or has been a fan of Prince's music over the years, who thinks that:

(a) he's going to retire; and

(b) this will the last time he'll play his hits...

...should consider the following before the hankies come out in earnest. Let's grab a small pinch of salt first readers.

From memory Prince has said that he's going to do both of these things on several occasions - and of course he never has - so it's perhaps part of his make-up (his character that is!) that he enjoys getting the hearts of music lovers worldwide palpatating with such 'announcements'. Can he really mean any of it? Put simply - how could he? In both cases it would be like him cutting of his own air supply (he's described his love of music similarly as akin to this in the recent past). How many of you remember the 'retiral' speech during the UK Act II tour in the early 90s, or the "...if u came to get your Purple Rain on..." fun from One Night Alone? He's getting to be a wily character as the years go by, but even more so than that - he's also an extremely shrewd marketer now, because he seems to be working the media better than at any time during his career IMHO. The free CD giveaway and now the Sky News broadcast are keeping his profile extremely high in the UK/US but also around the world, I'm sure. This is without considering appearances at London fashion week a few days ago, movie premieres such as the Bourne Ultimatum and his 400,000+ happy concert goers (this autumn alone).

Take it with a pinch of salt lovers of Purple Music, have a chuckle to yourself and be content in the knowledge that Prince will of course be back...James Brown did it to death, and so will he. It's make you 'crazay' to think anything else.

For the record I'm sure the Sky broadcast will be fantastic for everyone who couldn't make these great shows for whatever reason, and that fans who've been unhappy that unauthorised clips were taken off YouTube - for what reason I don't know, as unless I'm mistaken it's his material (and has always been so), and no-one had permission from him to film (perhaps a classic case of people in modern society who demand the right to have or own everything because they have a phone or a PC but have no justification for doing so.

If you're in the audience tonight you'll no doubt be singing along, just thankful to revel once more in the musical brilliance and charisma of the Prince live experience one more time. We are lucky this guy's around - let's make the most of it while we can.

I think I can hear a chant, growing in volume...sounds something like...

I like how Sky News were quick to dismiss Planet Earth when it was realeased with "Maybe this is why it's free" when Mr.Goodnight was played, but they have no problem when Prince wants to do a bit of business with them

Does anyone want to show their age? There are a few (very few) photos of him out there 'showing his age' but not many.

I'm in the same decade as him (40's) that is, and it's not nice, you think you look like you were when you were getting your life together in your 30's but then you look in the mirror and the small changes start, it's scary for us normies, just imagine what it would be like having pics of yourself on the internet etc that you just know don't show you in your best light. YUUUKKKK

He's still looking extremely good, and actually I like to see him with a bit of age, a few grey hairs would look good on him too, but I guess black don't crack as they say. He's still moving well on stage, still FUNKY, he's still got it, even though he'll be 50 next year!

Will always know that he's gorgeous!
