2 questions???

1. From Planet E's seat, is that why he asked if it was ok 2 film???

2. How do I set my video up to sky again??? Idiot proof help needed!

Easy, get a scart lead and plug the Video to your Sky box. Go to your AV channel on the Video and press record. Remember you can only record the channel you are seeing on screen.

thanks, thought i needed all those other wires & holes.Bet someone changes the channel! wish my sky+ box worked.
Without restraint, there’d be no hesitation!

I hope he doesn't announce retirement sad just a statement about music industry or you tube etc... maybe...

What 2 songs do you think? I'm going for Purple Rain and Chelsea Rodgers...

Would be funny if the main cameras are situated near where PlanetEarth was sitting... lol

sorry, but it has been said over and over again that he is retiring

I think its true

None of the aftershows have had the look of someone who wanted to stop doing this!

Maybe it's because they keep billing it as "Performing his hits for the last time". But then they said that ten years ago at Wembley too. Actually, I'd be fine with it if this turned out to be true! Time to focus more on where he's going, not where he's been.

Although I've loved hearing the old non-hits e.g. All The Critics...

Oh yeah, yay for Sky. Must set the Sky+ now before I forget.

lbanks - you can use all those other cables if you plan to keep it connected, but the way i have said is the easiest if you dont. Check it before hand tho, its been a while since ive used a video with sky.

I really hope he does not open with Purple Rain - I love it towards the end of a show as it has more of a shiver down the spine effect....

I seem to remember that he was going to hang up his guitar after the symbol album... if you listen to the lyrics on the album, there is alot of reference to this.

I guess after the (commercial) success of D&P he wanted to go out on a high... however I would assume two things,

1. that despite the symbol album being a generally commercial success i don't think that it was as well received as Prince would have liked. I seem to remember one of the NPG stating that they were disappointed with the response and hoped that one day it should be regarded as a classic album.

I also guess that this spurned him on to write the storming 'Gold' Album!!

2. I think that Prince just cannot help writing and performing, it's in his blood...

I'm confused....

If I read correctly, 2 songs only will be shown, right?

And then these 2 songs will be available for everyone to see, right?

They are NOT showing the entire concert, right? Cuz some people's post seem to sound as if that's what will be happening.

they will do a little feature first...then they'll show the concert ( 2 tracks).
I assume the live coverage starts at 9 pm.

Perhaps (and this is complete speculation) he's done a deal with Sky to show the whole gig later in the year? After it's been edited and approved.

Sky One have from time to time had concert exclusives.

Or maybe we'll just get a DVD. Or both?

Or nothing!

He won't need to promote an album you can't buy.

If the songs are going to be broadcast worldwide after Sky get their exclusive then PE songs could serve a purpose.

Any TV station can re-show them after the Sky broadcast. He cut an exclusive deal with Sky for the live broadcast but is releasing the rights to the clips after that for library footage . Expect to see the clips a LOT!!
