I am constantly shocked by the poor, poor quality of news reporting. The two people on Sky News chatting about Prince just don't have a clue. Hopeless. Factually incorrect, not even any style.

Reporting on the BBC website from the 13th concert with Elton John was just as bad. They claimed that the reporter was there - but so was I, and he just got so much so wrong.

Total rubbish.

I agree. What a pair of idiots.

Aaaaaarrrrrgggggh! Stop getting Prince wrong!

Dreadful sound quality.

Thanks for the clarification.

I loved the songs, and thought he looked great, but come on just go ahead and give us a free show. Normally I don't complain, in fact don't think I ever have. I have been to a Prince concert b4, but what about the people who havn't seen him live. I know some people might get on me for saying this but Michael Jackson on HBO gave us The Dangerous Bucharest Concert, Janet gave us two: Hawaii, and the Velvet Rope. Many artist have done the live concert thing. I'm sorry, but I don't think it is okay to make fans settle for seven minutes. It is not totally unheard of for an artist to just give the free concert (meaning the concert over the television), and I do not mean pay-per-view either. I usually do not complain, I am a young P fan and am pretty happy to get what I can, but come on. This isn't generous.

It was oh so short, I went last week and was really excited tonight, anticipating a televisual repeat. I was dancing in the living room getting going when the cameras stopped. I think I am more depressed than the morning after the live show. OMG I love him!!!!!

Sound and picture quality aside, it was a nice little sample of what the O2 crowd has been getting. I just wish Prince would give up the 'raise the roof' arm thing. Call it touch the sky if you want P, but is still raising the roof and frankly it makes him look dated.

He did that already, Live show beamed all over the world from Syracuse Purple Rain Tour in 1985, Parade Tour from Detroit in 1986 and Lovesexy Tour from Dortmund in 1988.

I think it's Mega especially since these were the two tracks I recorded on my phone for my wife when I went over without her and were subsequently deleted by the staff over at the Indigo. It must be Karma. Has to be cos while they were deleting them and putting me out of the aftershow for producing my mobile these same two tracks closed the aftershow that night while I was outside.

Yes, but there is still so much of the young generation that has not seen him perform live. Madonna did it five years ago, and she did one last year on Bravo, so those twenty years ago really doesn't mean anything...lol I mean he talks about rap artist (and believe me I do not like them at all), but they reach the kids but going out and doing things. If you want to impact them like you say you want to, then just give the free show. Your not loosing any money, what is the harm in just giving a free show? Pretty mind-boggling.

How were we ripped off? We paid nothing for it, it was free to the world. Sure i'd love full concert on HBO, but it was what it was and i was glad to see it. We got what was advertised. Now if we were promised a full concert in HD quality and paid for such, then I'd fell ripped off.

People were told 30 minutes, but we get just seven. We might as well just not have been showed the footage at all. It was what it was, you are absolutely right, but as a fan I have the right to feel ripped off.

I respect your right to feel ripped off. Personally I read the original article as saying he would do 2 songs starting between 8:30 and 9:00 GMT. I'm sorry you feel ripped off.

Oh it's okay, and I respect what you said. I guess since the Youtube thing, and this I just feel that the fans are not getting what they are owed. Even though I really liked the two songs. It's too much going on...lol Just a young fan trying to capture some of the magic.

Oh it's okay. And I totally respect what you are saying. It's just that with the Youtube thing and this, I don't feel that the fans are getting back what they should be getting. and i'm starting 2 get sick of this "young people haven't seen him live yet" errr xcuse me but, that's what the internet helps bridging the gap 4...oops no youtube videos please boxed

live is live whether ur sitting in the comforts of ur home/office, listening in ur car or stero..now in person is a different story.
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
