Well here's an interesting twist: On one of the local TV stations they just showed people camped outside of MACY'S in line for a good spot at THAT show, so those are definitely folks that won't be in line at 1st Ave tomorrow waiting for tix. I've not been able to convince anyone to stand in line with me tomorrow. What's it like for you all? Do you know many people planning to go to the aftershow?

I've not been able to convince anyone to stand in line with me tomorrow. What's it like for you all? Do you know many people planning to go to the aftershow? As I said before, no. I might be able to drag my wife with me. It's a bit brilliant to have a one ticket per person/non transferrable ticket. It insures that the people who get tickets REALLY want tickets. Again, I CANNOT imagine that there will be 1500 people in line at 3PM. I just don't think that with Macy's, the heat, and the Target Center show that it's gonna happen. "New Power slide...."

I called First Ave twice today and they informed me that they will put the ticket/wristband on the buyer upon paying for the ticket. This means no buying for anyone else except yourself. She believed that there would be enough tickets if you lined up by morning, but for those of us going to the Macy show, that will not be possible. Time to take out my time machine and buy my ticket now.....Rodger Rodger....

I've had 1 orgnote so far, so my posse is at 3. Anyone else? We can't buy a bunch, but the wait is easier and people can make refreshment runs. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

First Avenue tickets or seeing a seven song performance in a department store? For me, that is a no brainer. I would have no regrets bailing on the Macy's show, if I had to. a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

They do take AmEx. I just called.
I am headed down in the morning and I am I assuming I will not make the Macy's show. As Stax said - No Brainer!! Anyone want to buy a wristband? - two actually.

If I would've known about the First Ave show I would not have sold my kitchen sink to buy the one ticket for the Macy's show...but now I feel obligated since I made my bf sleep on Nicollet Mall all night for the one ticket. .....Whats a girl to do? I am going to scope the situation before the Macy's show and perhaps if the line is not that long I will wait and bust booty to Macy's after I score a ticket...Super Twin Power Activate!

Well I'm a bit stressed out about trying to get a ticket for the after show and getting to the Macy's performace on time. I understand that having the after show at Frist Ave makes is much more convienent for all involved, however; the ticket sale time is either a strategy to try to limit people in seeing all 3 performances or poor planning. I sort of doubt it's poor planning,as Frist Ave said everything was at Prince's request. Guess I'll have to go with the flow!

Oh and by the way, tomorrow is supposed to be the hottest day so far this year in the Twin Cities; that's because Prince is setting the town a flame.

Here's a question I've been battling with - what's the etiquitte here with the line? My friends and I have been thinking about taking turns in the line in shifts, a few arriving early to reserve a spot in line, a few arriving later to relieve them so the first arriving can go get breakfast or take a nap. Finally having everyone show up around 2:30. When I think about it, I can see people getting pissed off, but isn't that what basically everyone lined up tonight is going to do. I'd appreciate some advice on this, I don't want to be an a-hole but I know some people that can't make it there in the AM.

Can anyone tell me what the maximum occupancy is for the First Avenue show?
I have tix for Macy's, but also want to see the 1st Ave show, so I am debating on waiting in line until tix go on sale at 3pm and then running over to Macy's to catch the show at 4pm. I am afraid of waiting in line for 1st Ave and not get tix and then getting crappy seats for Macy's. Thanks!

I would say what you are wanting to do would not be a very nice thing to do. If you want a ticket you have to stand in line the WHOLE time. Yes with reason leaving for food and restroom breaks are resonable. If 3 people get there at 8 am and get a spot, only 3 people have that same spot all day.

Can anyone confirm that people are already in line?
We're going to First Ave. in a coupla hours, for the Prince night (no way am I sleeping on the sidewalk tonight, maybe tomorrow though!) Love wins. (Seen on bumpersticker)

Seriously, Prince will not get on stage until at the earliest 12:30 AM. I really don't think people will have as much energy as Prince (but he will take a nap between performances and it doesn't take much time for that man to look good!). I am a hard core fan but will chance it. I think the energy in the Target Center may be the only energy I have left after that concert. I will chance it and leave it to fait. If I don't get a ticket to FIRST AVE I will still have the time of my life seeing my idol again. My dreams (seriously had one 6 months ago I would see him in concert at TC) have come TRUE!!!!! *******All 7 and we'll watch them fall

FIRST AVE can hold a MAXIMUM of 1500 people. Thinks about that. Over one thousand people in the main room! Do you really think 1500 people will be in line by 3 o'clock? The line would be 3 or 4 city blocks long--I just don't see it happening.... "New Power slide...."

I just drove by about 35 minutes ago ( I live about 9 miles from downtown Minneapolis) and the line was not long, maybe 50-100 people but I am bad at guessing. The line was almost to Hennepin ave. from where The First Ave. nightclub is, but the line does not start at the door, it actually starts closer to the 7th street entry door so keep that in mind. I think I am going to get a little sleep and go down later tonight.

I just drove past there myself. As of about 10:15 tonight the line was down the block and just starting to wrap around the corner. People in lawn chairs. It looks like a lot of people, but really it's probably just 75-100 or so. And they're ALL CRAZY. People, WHY do you need to wait in line over night? I don't get it.

Carrie or Darin or anyone at the Prince party tonight at First Avenue -- please give us an update as to how long the line is when you get home!

NO ONE is in town on the biggest vacation week of the year. The brokers are swimming in tickets and you need a mattress...c'mon! Save your energy for the best night of your life. I already see the GREEDY on craigslist selling their spot for $600.00. Have a good nights sleep ya "EFF". No chance you will get $600. Greed, I think that IS one of the 7. *******All 7 and we'll watch them fall

I just came out of First Avenue. (Which is NOT a Prince party. They are playing all kinds of 80's music) There is already a line that is a mile long. You can forget it. You better get in line VERY early if you want a chance to get in.
