Not to piss on the purple parade, but I wihs he was doing the thing at Paisley Park. Don't get me wrong, from a nostalgia/historical angle this aftershow is cool, but:

1. More people can fit inside Paisley Park--better chances of getting in.

2. Taking the trek out to Chanhassen is inconvenient, but it eliminates many a casual fan from taking your spot.

3. Don't you wish the npgmusic club was still around for this one?

I'm with you...First Avenue is cool but I would rather he did this at Paisley Park. Otherwise it could be a nightmare trying to fit everybody in. Besides I've never been to Paisley Park and I wanna see it.
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I can't tell you how FREAKING EXCITING it is for me to have the chance to see him at First Avenue. I was much too young to see him when he played there in the 80's and Glam Slam Mpls closed down before I was 21, so I never got to go.
And I practically grew up in First Ave. From my first all ages show at 15 to Sunday Night All Ages Dance Parties to just about every favorite club show I've ever been to, like, EVER.

I've been to the Park. This is exactly the kind of thing to make me FREAK the HECK OUT!

excited

i think it's gonna be planned like a three course meal. the macy's gig will be like an appetizer - something delicious, but light enough to keep us hungry; the main concert will be dinner, lasting the longest amount of time and covering the greatest amount of material; and 1st ave will be dessert, when we'll all get to indulge till we're sick.

ok, that was cheesy, but whatever. lol

That's hilarious! And it's funny cuz it's true!!!

Many to most of the Prince shows at the Glam Slam were all age because I went to a lot of them and we're both the same age. I remember they would give us a wrist band if we were underage.

Sweet!!!! One ticket per person means we should have a better shot. When is everyone planning on getting in line?

Well, that sucks. People are going to be lining up the morning of if not the night before...

Again, reform the NPGMC. Make it easy for your fans. I think we have proved time and time again that we'd pay more $$$$$ for more convenience and guaranteed seats...

This is seriously bad timing. If people need to be in line to get tix at the Avenue and they go on sale at three but Macy's starts at 4:00. OHHHH It is tough to be a Prince fan!

I can't imagine more than a few hundred people will wait in line for a long time. The projected high for Saturday is 95 degrees and the tickets go on sale at the hottest time of the day. I'm going to go down there at 1:30 - 2:00 and see what happens.

It's a good thing Macy's is just a few blocks away from the Ave. And that Prince never starts on time.

ooooh! good point about the weather. that should help keep some people from waiting all the live long nite and day!

Well...u must pick ur battle. Which show is more important to you?

Since the seats are assigned and u wanna go to after show, I would wait in line for First Ave tix and go Macys show afterwards. Take plenty to drink and change of clothes...and 3121 perfume!! It's gonna get "funky" in line and during the shows!! LOL lol lol lol

Man, I wish I could go! sad

I hoping about 1 PM will be enough as well. I'm basing my hopes on the Macy's on-sale. People camped out for that, but I bought the same tickets from my couch in Iowa a few hours later.
This is earth shattering for us, but to the general public we're a bunch of freaks hanging on to a musician that hasn't put out a record in 20 years.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.
