I have a feeling this is not exactly going to be kept hush hush! the First Avenue website now has the graphic "Return 2 First Avenue" on it and links to 3121

http://www.first-avenue.com/

and you know when Jon Bream hears it'll hit the Strib.

How about a seperate line for people with Macy's wristbands? yes

HOLY CRAP!!!! I really did not intend on spending any more money this weekend beyond the Target Center tickets. What is the maximum capacity of First Avenue? I have only been on the outside.

Yes First Ave is literally across the street. And yes, you can just leave your cars parked in the Target Center ramp.

I was told that his contract with Macy's is for 7 songs. So that show could last less than an hour.

i think it's gonna be planned like a three course meal. the macy's gig will be like an appetizer - something delicious, but light enough to keep us hungry; the main concert will be dinner, lasting the longest amount of time and covering the greatest amount of material; and 1st ave will be dessert, when we'll all get to indulge till we're sick.

ok, that was cheesy, but whatever. lol

smile I DO like your thinking.. I HOPE this is the case! wink

razz I feel your anxiety!..
I have been a Prince fan since 1980 and I have been to MANY shows
and one thing I have learend is that as much as I LOVE to
see him Live.. its very VERY stressful and you have alot of
sleepless nights waiting and my belly is FULL of butterflies
right now..

I wonder if Mr. Nelson knows how excited we all are to see him and how
many of us will be tossin' and turnin' for the next 2 nights
SOO excited to see him!!!!! wink
Hopefully there will be some actual "news" about ticket sales
VERY VERY soon!!!!! biggrin

Not to piss on the purple parade, but I wihs he was doing the thing at Paisley Park. Don't get me wrong, from a nostalgia/historical angle this aftershow is cool, but:

1. More people can fit inside Paisley Park--better chances of getting in.

2. Taking the trek out to Chanhassen is inconvenient, but it eliminates many a casual fan from taking your spot.

3. Don't you wish the npgmusic club was still around for this one?

AMEN ~~~~~
I just know that First Avenue will be PACKED... and like you said.
The casual fans that didn't wanna spend $$ on a real show Or couldn't
get tickets will head over to First Avenue.. and then of course
you will just have the "regular" First Avenue crowds too....
It would be excellent if Prince would have his MUSIC Club back up
and us LONG TIME sufferers would be able to get some special
treatment.....

Some people have talked about leaving the Target Center show
early.. but WHY would you wanna do that??
You have NO idea what the First Avenue show will be like.. Who
knows how long he will preform.. or if he will stay near the back
of the stage more and just play guitar...
at least with the Target Center you KNOW he is there and doing the
whole show.....
Plus he could do encores. I was at a show one time and he did THREE
encores to total 5 more songs!!!!!
Plus.. you could leave a bit early and there could STILL
be 500 some odd fools in line at First Avenue already.
no.. I will take the "Bird in the Hand" and just enjoy the Target
Center show and IF I can get into "First Avenue I will...
If not we will head off to the Mystic Lake Casino... lol lol

IF we go it will only be to the First Avenue show and obviously we would get in line while the regular show was still going. Although I am tempted to get in on the bargain seats for the Target Center. People aren't even getting 50% of face value on Ebay right now.
