However, I could be very wrong here..... well I was just joking, but sure, I think some "non-fams" will end up at First Avenue as opposed to the other 2 shows. And since there appears to be a time conflict with tickets going on sale at 1st Ave and the Macy's thing- (which was the origin of Anx's "purplelympics" joke I believe), that may make it easier for them to get tickets. before all this mess started, my biggest concern for this weekend was whether i was gonna sweat out my WRECKA STOW t-shirt tonight or tomorrow night!

I've got friends who are not going to the Target Center show but will be lining with us for the First Ave show. Remember, it's $31.21. The price is right, and seeing Price at First Ave is alot more appealing than seeing him at the Target Center. Hell, if I'd have known about this I'd have taken a pass on the Target Center completely, even though we don't know what we're going to get at First Ave. Let the fams have Macy's; give the rest of us First Ave.

I was trying to come in the back door here by buying tickets to a show at First Ave that starts at 6 PM but I am assuming they kick everyone out before they let the next show start....
Hi. The Har Mar Superstar show will run as scheduled. The tickets for the after party go on sale here tomorrow afternoon at 3pm. It is first come, first serve. The tickets are non-transferrable as well. The doors for that show open at 11pm. I do not have a set time for his performance yet. I hope to hit the 'trifecta' with Prince concerts tomorrow. 'You must first be a Prince before you can be King'

1. More people can fit inside Paisley Park--better chances of getting in. 2. Taking the trek out to Chanhassen is inconvenient, but it eliminates many a casual fan from taking your spot. 3. Don't you wish the npgmusic club was still around for this one? I'm with you...First Avenue is cool but I would rather he did this at Paisley Park. Otherwise it could be a nightmare trying to fit everybody in. Besides I've never been to Paisley Park and I wanna see it. Oh hell no. Driving out to Chanhassen sucks ass and First Ave. is right across the street! (it's going to be a madhouse no matter what though, I'll tell you that right now) First Ave. will be way cooler IMO. He always plays at Paisley and damn I love that dank, grimy, stinky place that is First Ave. I pretty much grew up there and to see him play there finally would be amazing no matter what the setlist. Darin and I had the conversation last night about how this was just never in our wildest dreams EVER going to happen. Every time Prince is doing anything around here some newbie or person from out of town or what have you will throw out the "maybe he'll stop by First Avenue" with a little gleam in their eye and we will get all smug and exchange knowing looks and kindly explain how that just doesn't happen. You can hope and dream and fantasize, but it's just not gonna be. BUT NOW IT'S GOING TO FUCKING HAPPEN!!!!! |

What celebrities do you think you will see at the First Ave show? Here is my list...
Jimmy Jam Kevin Garnett Torii Hunter Josh Hartnett Drew Carey (this is a long shot but I know he loves Minneapolis...met him once and seen him several times here). *******All 7 and we'll watch them fall

Man, I've read over some of my recent posts and I'm sorry if I'm being a jerk. I just want me and my friends to be able to see Prince at First Ave; something none of us have had the oppourtunity to do and something we've all dreamed of. The thought of an older "fam" flying in from out of town and spending around $600 dollars to see him three times when they've already seen him several times bugs me if it means we don't get to go; if the situation was reversed it would probably bug me that some younger punk thinks that he should get to go just because he hasn't had the chance to see him at a small venue.

I feel like there's a fine line between the excitement of this show and the stress about getting a ticket. Personally, I feel it. I'm trying to remember to enjoy the experience and to remain calm so that I don't suffer heat exhaustion tomorrow! Of course, I have the "luxury" of not dealing with Macys or Target Center, so I get to rest before the show. I don't know how some of you folks are gonna do it, but rock on! 7/7/7 is a pretty historical day, musically speaking.

It's supposed to be 95 degrees outside tomorrow. Yikes! But I'ma stand in line anyhow. I've wanted to see Prince play First Ave since I was 9 yrs old!!! Back then, I was too young to go. Once I was old enough, he was playing larger venues only (or Europe!) I am so excited!!!!
My Target Center seats are behind stage, upper deck, row 'V' - but procuring a First Ave ticket would make up for that and then some!!!!! "She made me glad to be a man"

I am so envious! I would LOVEEEEE to see Prince in First Ave. I hope you all get in and have a fantastic day/night. Dont forget to fill us over this side of the pond in on Sunday or asap
