The line is moving now! Don't know if they've started selling but we have moved a couple blocks closer.

They just came around and announced that as of right now there are more tickets than people in line!!!

1 hour til Macys!

A first ave rep just came out to announc the Macys show won't start until "a good number" of people have made it through their line.

We have about a block and a half to go!

This is my first prince experience and I am loving every minute of it! Definitely stressful though!!!

Just got ticket for First Ave. Man with megaphone went around saying that there were more tickets avialable than there were people in line. Need purple wristband and ticket to get in. Macy's concert supposedly postponed. Must nap now. Funk out.

POSTPONED?? Until when? That is strange. I wonder why! Anyone there right now that can give us an update?

It was not postponed. They were holding the show to accommodate people in line for First Ave who also had tix for Macy's. The Macy's show is underway.

At the last minute (around 3:30) I decided to go stand in line. They ran out of tix about 100 people before me. Boo. The good news is that I had some cool folks standing around me, and I didn't get too sunburned.

My first Prince experience was amazing. We got wrist bands for the after party at 4:45 and raced over to Macys. The wrist bands say "Paisley Park Studios 7-7-7". Maybe they were printed in advance for a Paisley afterparty?

Got to Macys in time to grab 2 beers and hit the "club". Macys out did themselves... Painted all the walls and hallways purple, had way more stage lights than any club, a couple spot lights, and amazing sound. Within 5 minutes of arriving the trumpet guys played when the saints go marching in.

Sheila E had a couple drum solos that were awesome.

Shelby covered the song "crazy" to start the encore. Then prince came out and did lets go crazy! He said "dearly beloved" and then he stopped everything and said "nah, you aint ready yet". The crowd went ape shit and then he rocked it out to end the show.

Another good prince quote came when he was asking what song to play next. People were screamin stuff and he said "so many hits, so little time".

He had us chant sheilas name a few times and 3121 several times.

Gotta get some food and go to the target center!!!!!

Words can not describe the amazing experience that I had yesterday. I drove down to Minneapolis and got in line for the First Ave tickets around 12:30pm.It was 93 degrees and sticky. The line went around First Ave and then across the street and around the next block. We had 4 people come by us counting, and they estimated us to be around 850th in line. They opened the doors to First Ave to sell tickets around 3:30pm and we made our way slllloooowly through the line. I was wearing black, drenched in sweat, and had to stare down a few people in line who tried to budge in while we were crossing the street. I was also trying to make the Macy's show at 4pm, and was relieved to hear that that show had been pushed back. Prince started the Macy's show around 5:10pm and we got our tickets to First Ave around 5:20 p.m (where we were told that there were only a few hundred left). I bought my ticket and RAN towards Macy's where upon crossing the street I totaly wiped out on the road, in my dress, and skinned my hand and leg all up. After picking up my pride I ran into Macy's and saw the beautiful purple Prince play the last 4 songs of his 7 song set. Macy's was beautiful all decked out in purple chandeliers, purple curtains, and purple hallways. After the show I went to the front of the stage and found one of Prince's guitar picks on the floor where he was playing!!!!! Security kindly handed it to me! Then off to the Target Center for the show where I only stayed for an hour and then ran across the street to First Ave to wait in line. I got into line around 11pm (when the doors were supposed to open), and when they let us in at 1am I rushed to the front of the stage. The purple Prince started playing around 2:45am all cute and tight in his black jacket, white heels, black bandana, and black sunglasses. Prince ROCKED First Ave until the police told him to stop around 4am. He played straight through and came out one last time to let us know that he was grateful and would be back soon. He is an amazing performer and to be that close and to watch his mastery at the place where it all started, was an experience that I will NEVER FORGET!
