I wouldn't be so quick to write it off, the Targaryens have a long history of incestuous couples . Dany originally thought she would marry her brother Viserys.

That episode had the first mention of Ghost since, what, early S6? I have to say, I am starting to get really annoyed with the neglection of him considering his importance to Jon, yet they will try to show off Dany's dragons at every opportunity with some useless shots/scenes.

So now that we know who the true heir to the throne is, will she freely bend the knee? Her entire identity is tied up in this conquest, will this truth make her snap?

She seems to already be in awe of him...wouldnt be surprised if she does bend the knee. Make it so, Number One...

At first I thought maybe her enamoration for Jon might squash her rising madness (I'm sorry she has crossed the nutty as a fruitcake line this episode) but now this new thing that Gilly may or may not bring up again may squash that adoration that Dany is feeling. She dropped kicked her other "hero" in pursuit of this throne and he had already made her toes curl.

Tyrion's soul is slowly dying. Poor Ghost, scenes on the editing room floor. But he still around at least. I really don't get why or how Jon is going after one walker, with a handful of men against a danged legion of walkers all to drag it in front of Cersei who could honestly give 2 cares at this point in the game. I can see Dany killing Varys since he's seeing the madness coming through and you know he's making moves. Littlefinger getting the jump on Arya, no way. Poor disillusioned Sam. Gendry! Damn.

I really wonder if Gendry has an important role to play, or if it will turn out to just be some fan service... As far we know (at least in the show anyway), he could be the only hope for the future of House Baratheon.

Jon should have stopped by Winterfell on his way to the wall.

S7, Episode 5: [Edited 8/14/17 5:40am] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yep. But the line for the "rightful claim" is messed up and confusing at this point. Now Gendry has returned, you can argue he has the strongest claim. Or, ironically, you could argue Jon and Dany have it for the Baratheon line simply because they would be (as far as we know) Robert's closest trueborn living relations. And let's not forget about Cersei's "claim"...

I love the warhammer as the weapon of choice for Gendry, but does anyone else think it looks too fake? Also, if you watch the preview for episode 6, the Hound using it. [Edited 8/14/17 10:24am] [Edited 8/14/17 10:24am]

Being Westeros born and raised, the concept of him marrying his Aunt would repulse Jon. And it would only be through marriage that Dany would have any rights to rule. So her acts of bend your knee or my dragon will flambe you has made her the same as everybody else going after this throne, anything necessary to get it making her quite expendable. I don't know what Littlefingers game is creating a rift between Sansa and Arya but at least Arya has an ace up her sleeve he's completely unaware of. Ghost Mets Drogon and he barks. Where's the other Red Prietess in all this?

She had to use force against the master's in order to achieve peace, diplomacy didn't work. So, bend the knee kept all the others in line. It would take a lot of resources to jail half those men, when in a war.
I also think that Arya will dress up as littlefinger and attempt to get Sansa to turn on John. The true test to see if she is trustworthy???
Red Priest had to leave because of John Snow was present.
Oh, we as an audience could be getting played on the Sansa and Arya conflict. That they are playing along to out the rat since Bran can see things. [Edited 8/14/17 11:46am] 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

Plot hole: Why not just kill some one (Who's sentance to death for a crime) and watch them turn in a cage you built to take back to Cersi? All this can be done on this side of the wall. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

A good story would be that she gets the Iron Throne, after some years she looses her mind and Jon has to take a stand and kill her for the sake of the round.
