214 is right. Aerys, the Mad King, is Dany's father. Rhaegar, the Crown Prince who was felled by Robert's Hammer, is Jon's father. Meaning . . . Jon has a stronger claim than Dany, being the only surviving son of the next in line.

The pertinent questions are . . . when will Bran tell him? when will Howland co-sign? and how will Dany react?

Unless Rhaegar and Lyanna got married, Jon is still a bastard and I don't understand how the Targaryens are considered the rightful heir to the throne anyway since Robert overthrew their dynasty. But legality and who has a stronger claim is really out the window at this point, and I doubt Jon will even have any interest about sitting on it.

Doesn't look like Littlefinger's on Arya's list. So that dagger's for Cersei, I'm guessing.

That's the title? Uh... should be an interesting one. But it's already the fifth of seven episodes, right?

Seems it's called "Eastwatch"... Which might fit the theory regarding the change in the North in the title sequence? What do you think?

Fair points. Jon's legitimacy indeed depends on whether Rhaegar and Lyanna actually eloped, which would have been difficult (unless they got married after Elia died).

But Arya doesn't know that Littlefinger betrayed her father and set him up ultimately to be killed.

Bran does, though.

If Bran spills the tea, Littlefinger's a dead man.

I think Bran is being selective and letting Arya fulfill her list. But that dagger is some kind of turning point.

Hands down, the best episode in a couple of seasons. Let's get into it:

4. Perhaps Jon's Targaryen nature will be revealed if he's able to control the dragons???? hmmm

In the preview for the next episode, Drogon is seen face to face with Jon. I'm thinking he acts differently around Jon than he would another human and Daenerys picks up on it realzing something is up. It probably won't be revealed, but they'll start to leave hints for the characters?

9. Wonder if Qyburn has another plan to slay the dragons since the huge crossbow was a partial fail.

Interested in seeing where this goes too! I wonder if they'll just have dozens of them at King's Landing?

12. So when are we going to see The Hound pop up again through all of this?

Referencing the preview for next episode again, it looks like we'll be at Eastwatch. Love how in the show intro that part of the map is frozen. I didn't think we'd see the White Walkers crossing the wall before the end of episode 7, so I'm super excited to see what happens! But yeah, I'm guessing we see the Hound there since I believe that's where he saw the White Walkers during his vision in the flames earlier this season.

14. Question about the creation of the white walkers: So basically we learned last season that the White Walkers were created by The Children to protect them from the First Men. So, when Jon and Daenerys were in the cave looking at the drawings, Jon interpreted them as the First Men and The Children working together to defeat the White Walkers...but is he misinterpreting what its really saying? hmmm Basically, the Children created these monsters that took on a life of its own and is now a hinderence to mankind, right? SMH.

I think you're right that they were first created to ward of the First Men. I'm guessing the Children lost the ability (if they ever had it?) to control the White Walkers and eventually teamed up with the First Men because the White Walkers became an even bigger threat to both of their existence.

15. So, going by Daenerys decision to take Lady Orlenna's advice and be a dragon, is she slowly turning into the Mad Queen? hmmm

For me too early to tell. She was a dragon, but it's not like she burnt down innocent civilians and buildings. Curious to see how the rest of the war goes!

Can't wait until next week!!! excited

yaaaaas!

It seems like all she's been through she may be demented a little and if she has the gene who knows. I think the case that's being made is that after a while that interbreed creates madness in the offspring, she's a product of interbreeding, Jon is not.

"Bad things are coming."

The latest episode of Game of Thrones was killer, but the one to follow looks just as exciting.

After giving a major blow to the Lannister army, it seems Daenerys might be getting herself into trouble. And don't let all the fire from that last scene distract you; the White Walkers are still on their way, and they seem to be even closer by next week's episode.

Yes I did wonder. They couldn't have been riding that hard all the way there. Weren't the horses tired after such a long journey? That was the hardest part watching that scene, the horses, and they didn't pull a punch either.

Hands down, the best episode in a couple of seasons. Let's get into it:

1. Daenerys was REALLY interested in getting the tea about Missandei and Greyworm's love affair. lol

She's been keeping tabs on that for a while now.

2. It seems sir Davos has a bit of a crush on Missandei...as does Tormond has on Brienne and from last night, it appears that Podrick could be developing something for Arya. Love is on the horizon.

Davos ain't stupid. He's ready to switch sides for MissanBae. I would too. lol Pod better get in line, I think Gendry's the front runner. He will be back, and may be King someday.

3. Speaking of attractions, I'm wondering if Jon's Targaryen parentage will be revealed before he and Daenerys start to fall for each other, because I can see that happening a mile away. In fact, I thought they were going to jump each other in the cave. lol

I hope so. Jaime and Cersei have already filled that quota.

4. Perhaps Jon's Targaryen nature will be revealed if he's able to control the dragons???? hmmm

Maybe. There are only 2 people who know the truth: Bran and Howland Reed.

5. Was Daenerys right to question Tyrion on being apprehensive in destroying his family? Sure, his latest plans have failed, but even the most wisest people can make mistakes sometimes. I don't think she should completely ignore him going forward.

She's been lashing out, and is a little more paranoid now that she's away from her comfort zone. But Tyrion's miscalculations started in Meereen and he's been on a bit of a losing streak in matters of war.

6. Sansa looked a bit salty that Arya's fighting game is on point.

I saw a tweet this week that said Sansa was the only Stark kid not to "level up" . . . Bran's a seer, Arya's a warrior, Jon rose from the dead. She may be afraid Arya might get reckless. She might even realize that Arya wasn't joking when she referred to the dead people on her kill list.

7. So did the gold make it to King's Landing or not? I was under the impression that the wagon on fire with the horses running wild was the wagon with the gold in it.

According to Lord Tarly, it did. The food and supplies didn't make it, which may be worse.

8. Don't fret, Jaime and Bronn are still alive.

Will they escape? Will we see them reunited with Tyrion as prisoners?

9. Wonder if Qyburn has another plan to slay the dragons since the huge
crossbow was a partial fail.

The weapon was called "Scorpion." The scorpion's sting is poisonous. I fear Drogon was poisoned. Drogon is named after Khal Drogo, who died from infected wounds. File that away.

10. It's official, this battle trumps the battle at Blackwater in season 2, which up until now, was the best.

Battle of the Bastards (S6) and the Battle at the Wall (S4) may be better.

11. It's clear that Littlefinger's slithering ways aren't being fazed by the surviving Stark kids but its only a matter of time before he does find someone in Winterfell to manipulate.

He may be living on borrowed time himself. Bran knows what he did in betraying Ned. If Bran tells Arya and Sansa it's a wrap.

12. So when are we going to see The Hound pop up again through all of this?

The season trailers seemed to hint he was somewhere warm, wearing armor. If he's south, maybe we'll get . . . Cleganebowl????

13. When one of the Dothraki soldiers told Tyrion "your people can't fight", it was so honest that Tyrion couldn't even provide an appropriate come back response for it. lol All in all, I think he was worried that Jaime was going to meet his fate and even though he wouldn't mind seeing Cersei burn alive, I think watching Jaime die is something that would really bother him.

Jaime's the family member Tyrion loves most.

SMH.

Yes. The Children wanted protection from Men. They created the Night King, who turned out to be their own Frankenstein monster.

15. So, going by Daenerys decision to take Lady Orlenna's advice and be a dragon, is she slowly turning into the Mad Queen? hmmm

That's the fear. But in crisis she did turn to Jon, who advised her not to slaughter civilians. That's why she attacked the Lannister Army outside of Highgarden. Maybe Jon will be a calming influence.

Can't wait until next week!!! excited

I'm savoring this season more than any other.

Hadn't thought of that. Benjen would be the only other person I know of that could know. Why he joined the Watch is an open question, too.

I can't even... I just can't.... I'll spend hours writing essay length replies. But I will say this...

The Night King and the white walkers are going to win. They're going to bring down the wall and bring Winter all the way to the Red Keep.

Either that or Jamie ends up on the throne, because he's the one who doesn't want it.

John kills Sansa because she goes evil with Little Finger, Arya kills John for killing Sansa.

I like to keep my GoT theories really positive and upbeat. biggrin

1) The gold did reach the Queen. They said so in the show.

Some guesses:

2)A dragon will be turned into a white walker.

3) Tyrion will probably die in the final battle (Perhaps one of 3 dragon riders, John being the other one.)

4) If sansa marries little finger it will be a trap to kill little finger. Arya poses as Sansa (You can do that with out killing some one.).

5)The battlefield is now even. They need to burn the iron fleet's ships.

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment
