I have been terrible since I started my new job. Up super early getting son off to school then about 9 hours at work and so tired so I go straight home after. And then I was usually out of town on the weekends with my bf.

It's really no excuse, though.

I haven't gained any weight thankfully and someone asked me last week if I had lost some weight - I have not.

So, I'll get through this week (we are in the busiest time of the year) then I'll force myself to hit the gym every day after work.

So hard to start up again, but I'll do it.

I'm on the market again so I better try and look the best I can. lol

That is what got me motivated... pending "being on the market again". I want to be ready when I am ready to get out there again. My self esteem will need that boost you get when you get unsolicited compliments. smile

Awesome, ain't it?

I live where it is Summer about 10 months out of the year.

I was doing really good exercising up until this week. Next week we are going down to stay near the beach for a week. I was trying to get in shape for that.

My goal was to have my old stomach by Oct but not sure that will happen now.

My husband has been exercising and dieting and has lost over 2 stone (28 pounds) in about 8 weeks. He has much more motivation and drive than me.

We have made changes to our diet that have helped both of us.

Lifestyle changes and substituting healthier things in your diet help a lot.

You two have both done so well.

I was doing really well, lost a stone (14lbs) and toned myself up really well. My arse was solid man! .... but then I got busy, ran out of time to keep up the exercise, plus I have been ridiculously stressed with my work situation and dealing with a few personal issues. Sadly, I deal with shitty situations by eating shitty food and drinking alcohol.

I haven't worked out at all for a good 3 months. I haven't weighed myself in that time either. Luckily, the new (UK size 10, US size 6) clothes still fit me woot! and I still feel alright about myself.

I DO need to start running again, because I miss having a solid arse. ... so I'll get back to it sometime... soon... maybe.

Here's the machine and weights I did it on. The bars weigh 18 pounds apiece, so add 36 pounds to the total weights. (I called the manufacturer to verify the weight of the bars.)

Three 45-pound plates per side is 270 pounds in weights, plus 36 pounds for the bar, equals 306 pounds.

God is great!

[img:$uid]http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff311/RodeoSchro/Benchpress.jpg[/img:$uid]

thumbs up!

Gotcha.

Do you prefer the machine as opposed to a real bench w/ bar?

...and if by "God" you mean 'steroids'...then yeah. razz

Yes, for a couple reasons. First, you don't need a spotter with this machine. Second, the bench on it is better for my back. I used to bench all the time with the bar, but the benches we had for that must have been a little narrow, because my back would hurt after working out.

I've never done steroids. All natural, baby!

hmmm ...maybe I'll look around the gym to see if that have that machine there.

(I'm joking of course! My buddy is natural and he goes up to 4 plates on each side.)

I had some pictures taken after a workout last week, so as to put an endcap on The Summer of Big Arms. To get the best pump possible, I ended up making pretty much the same face Ryan made in the center picture. Uncool! That's why I won't post those pics.

Maybe if I Photoshopped my head off, LOL.

Sorry man, but you've let everyone know about your "summer of big arms" around here, so you might as well get the photowhore out of the way now, BEFORE you lose the pump.

lol

My daughter felt my arm the other day (remember - I've been bad at going to the gym for MONTHS now) and said in her cute-but-loud-as-hell voice; "Dad! You're getting FLABBY! Where did the muscle go?"

faint

You best believe if I make good on my latest goal, I'm wearing one of those around HER when the time comes!!!
