yeah i mean if they had established a colony on that same planet they were on in alien, u mean 2 say they didn't see her ship in the passing?

"oh what's that?"

"looks like a ship from the nostromo"

"life scans show a cat and a woman. lt. ripley"

"fuck let's ignore it and build the colony first then come back and wake her up"

confuse The Nostromo left that planet. Her tiny little life pod would be a little speck in the galaxay if at all.

I saw this in the theater when it was only playing in select theaters in the country. One of those select theaters happened to be down the street from where I used to live in Chicago. My roomate and I kept seeing lines outside the theater so figured we needed to check this thing out. Having NO idea what the movie was about it scarred the living crap out of us. We werent sure it was true, but it sure felt like it. Also I always think the scariest things are things you DON'T see as its up to your imagination to figure it out. Anyway, we told everyone we knew how scary it was...well the thing finally got a wide release and we heard nothing but crap from eveyrone about how dumb and NOT scary it was. I watch to this day and can't figure out why people hated it so much. It STILL gets me.

Speaking of things you don't see, I thought the first Paranormal Activity movie was very scary too. But that one is more highly regarded than the Blair Witch Project.

I dig PA and the sequels just as much for that reason too...that last one...I just saw it a few weeks ago that was one kick ass flick...my partner kept turing on the lights all night thinking he was hearing things in our house. lol

It is strange that those movies are def better received (with the public) than Blair Witch was, as its done in very much the same vein...especially PA1.

I've seen this movie twice, and I must say, it was godawful every time! What a terrible, cringeworthy film. (is graffitti bridge as bad or worse than this?)
