I still can't say whether that film was good or dreadful, I only know that the nature, themes and style of the film were a complete turn off for me; and Lars Von Trier is probably the only guy in the film industry that I truly hate. I hate his f guts...

Why do hate him more than anyone else?

many reasons, but basically extreme arrogance, ridiculous publicity stunts ("I'm a Nazi"), and he treats his actors/movie crew like crap

I just thought of some more....

"3000 Miles to Graceland": Corny as it was, I have to watch it every time it comes on TV

"Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon": Another corny movie, but Sho'Nuff sho' was funny!

"What's Eating Gilbert Grape": I honestly don't know if this movie is a favorite or a shun, but I love it when Johnny Depp finally smacks the shit out of Leonardo DiCaprio. Oh and the rest of the movie was pretty good too. lol

"And Justice For All": Again, don't know if this is a movie fav or not, but I thought it was pretty good.

"Action Jackson": Naw I'm just joking...I hate this movie. spit

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

it's my third fav Rocky movie, but I thought this movie was panned by almost everybody: now dated cold war message, the ludicrous death of Apollo, the movie is only 88 min long (including 30 minutes of training scenes eek ) and the final combat is as fake as a dollar with the face of Popeye on it...lol

for me, it's the ultimate guilty pleasure...

Yeah it was fake, but I like looking at it...especially when Rocky cut Drago and "shocked" him. lol The commentators seemed like they were going to piss on themselves: "And he's cut, HE'S CUT!!!!"

And Duke hyping Rocky up was great to watch too: "You see, HE'S NOT A MACHINE, HE'S A MAN!!!" After watching Apollo die, shucks Duke was convincing me too that Drago really wasn't a machine. lol

I remember when I was little they played this movie on a Christmas morning on HBO and giving that the final boxing match was set on Christmas day, it made my damn Christmas. I know it's corny, but damn, I was a child. lol

yeah, I love Rocky IV for what it is: an MTV-like sports movie, it has that "L.A. 1984 Olympic Games" flavour cool

Rocky V could have been great if Sly had focused on the training of Tommy Gunn and the rotten aspects of mainstream boxing, but sadly he focused on the "I'm broke" plot and that was pathetic, that destroyed the legacy of parts II, III and IV. Thank God for Rocky VI...

nod the first two rounds were great, but after that it got fake: the combat should have been 5-6 rounds...and Drago was a scam, an steroid-addicted bitch; I also love the scene when he got cut, I can imagine Rocky thinking "look, you sure are taller/bigger than me, but I'm stronger, and I'm gonna smash your pretty face, even if I have to jump" lol

and I agree that Duke training Rocky was basically the best thing about the movie cool

I know right. Urgh. That movie really did suck donkey balls. And all those corny flash backs of Mick got on my ever loving nerves. "Get up you summabitch, cause Micky loves ya!" Then Rocky looks up to the sky and all of sudden has this mysterious strength and motivation to fight Tommy Gun like he's supposed to. disbelief I love Sly but that movie was just too corny for me. I'd rather watch "Tango & Cash" and that was equally as bad. lol

To me Rocky VI was just okay, but it was just a "band-aid" movie to repair the damage and horror from V. I was hoping he would have brought Mr. T back for VI to help him train for that last fight. evillol But seriously, Sly should have stopped the Rocky franchise at IV.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

yeah lol , due to the old "Arnie vs Stallone" rivalry back in the '80s, people assumed they were both tall and mean, but Sly is a relatively "short" guy...

yeah, that's true, VI cannot escape the fact that it's direcly linked to the dreadful part V...

personally, I ignore part V; I like to think that after part IV, Rocky just retired (Tyson being the new champ, lol!) and Adrian died during the late-'90s/early'00s so Rocky sold the mansion/opened the restaurant cuz he just couldn't live in that mansion alone...with the grief and the memories...

let's just forget part V...
