I too got really sensitive so have switched to plain ole bicarb

[img:$uid]http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z57/joyjoy_038/Bicarb.png[/img:$uid]

it works!!

I add a touch of essential oil to create a scent, it doesnt keep you dry it but as a deoderant it lasts ALL DAY & it doe'snt stain your clothes.

You just dip your finger on the top of the bicard and smooth onto still wet skin from the shower or bath, you only need a tiny bit (dont scrub) and leave your arm pit to dry naturally.

Great for gym shoes too!

One minute they want peace……

Then do everything to make it go away. rolleyes

Actually, I think you'd have to be a day in/day out pit flooder before you could get insurance to cover sweat-related Botox.

my math teacher was a prime candidate, he could sweat through a shirt, sweater and blazer in first period

I think pit floods are actually part of the job description for match teachers. giggle

Carrie, a couple years ago, I had the same problem. Even showering everyday, it seemed like no antiperspirant I tried would completely get right of the funk. It wasn't anything other people could smell (at least, no one said anything), but there was just a very slight "ripeness" to the armpits of my clothing that gave me pause.

What I did was to switch to an antibacterial body wash (one that actually says "antibacterial" on the label) and really make sure I lather up my pits.

I still check my clothes after wearing and the situation is much improved.

I should be clear, I doubt anyone else notices either. It's just noticeable to ME at the end of the day. And I want to make SURE it won't be noticed by anyone else.

I'll have to try that. I do "really make sure I lather up" (lol) but I'll try the antibacterial soap as well.

Next to antibacterial soap there is also antibacterial deoderant. It says so on the label. Other deo's just conceil any odors. No good.

Another anti-funk-armpits strategy is to find out what kind of food makes your body swet and funky. When I eat chocolate, I sweat a lot. Find out by varying foods and see if you sweat a lot at night.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I have gone through the whole spectrum of deodorants and each and every single one has made my allergies act the hell up.

I'm hopeless. sad

Did you try vichy? Body lotion and deo work fine for me (I'm allergic and low tolerance for a wide array of materials and food)

making sure your clothes are clean is also important, we used to have an old washing machine that didn't wash so well, and I noticed when the master ironed his shirts that if he went over the armpits it smelled like BO in the whole room shake the laundry wasn't being done properly, so old stale sweat would come back to haunt him when he wore that shirt again.

I use the prescription strength stuff, cause I will have some wet ass pits even if I'm not hot or any part of me is sweating. neutral

And it works so I'm thrilled. I'm even more thrilled that Suave now has their own version (works just as well) for $5. Cause my cheap-ass hated forkin over $9 for deodorant. lol

I never cared what deodorant I used, or whether it was roll-on or spray, as I basically never smelled bad under my arms. Sure I'd sweat, but I never had any bad body odour even out here in Thailand sweating my ass off all day. About 3 or 4 months ago I noticed a smell under my pits that I just couldn't stand, that would get on my t-shirt and linger, and it started to bug me. I ended up for a couple of days going without using the nivea roll-on I had, using nothing at all, and everything was fine again. I still want to use some form of deodorant though, but not sure what. I'm just using my knock-off CK Eternity body spray at the moment. lol

Those are the things I am allergic too. pout The stones/crystals and various other sticks.

I think I'm allergic to all of the hippy stuff cause they use a zinc-type ingredient instead of aluminum.

Me too, my sensitive skin couldn't handle those type of deodorants. I find the odor-less deodorants more effective for me, like this one...

I just found out that I sweat heavily from eating chocolate. Weird.

Odour, or a lot of sweating, might indicate that your body doesn't tolerate a certain food and exretes (?) it by sweating heavily. Investigating your food habits might resolve it, find out what kind of ingredients your body doesn't tolerate.

How did you find that out? This is interesting. Mostly because I happen to eat a lot of chocolate.

I found out by the few food diet. It's a pretty harsh way of investigation. However, I'm happy I'm doing it, already learned a lot. However, do it under supervision of a dietist or doctor.

There is no direct relation between cholocate and sweating. Sweating might be your body communicating to you it doesn't want some of the ingredients you feeded your body with. Everybody reacts differently to food. Some can't tolerate tomato's, some can't tolerate beans....or it's the histamine in food that a body can't break down.
