I have gone through the whole spectrum of deodorants and each and every single one has made my allergies act the hell up.

yes, regular wet towels in the bathroom sound a lot better to me than botox, but it is an option

Actually, I think you'd have to be a day in/day out pit flooder before you could get insurance to cover sweat-related Botox.

Yes, I would think you're right, but I would guess you could pay for it yourself...well I certainly couldn't but maybe Carrie is independently wealthy?

I have similar issues, and working in a hot kitchen does NOT help matters much at all lol

I have found that this brand actually works the best for me...

For the most part I've noticed they seem to be pretty gender-neutral, scent-wise, I've never found any to be overwhelmingly "manly" or "girlie" smelling.

I find this one pretty good, and it doesn't sting or stain your clothes.

Carrie, it's interesting to hear you mention an allergy to Tom's of Maine deodorant. I've used that brand for years and have never had a problem until recently. Just this week, I've been noticing itchiness and redness. I'll need to experiment with stopping using it to see if the irritation goes away.

I used it for a while before I noticed the allergy, too.

Stopped using and started again, and the rash was unmistakeably from the Toms. Same with Trader Joe's & Jason

It's a little hard to find, but find out where they sell Kiehl's products in your area.

They have a wonderful deoderant. $10/tube

It isn't stick deoderant though. You squeeze a little bit out (like lotion) and rub it in.

I use the Anti-Persperant version of this. I'm just more and more afraid of using it but it's the only thing that works.

The aluminum in anti-persperant discolors the pits of my dress shirts over time, so I had to cut that out.

What deodorant/antiperspirant do you use?

I find that after several years of use I become immune to a particular brand of deodorant. It stops working as well as it used to. I used Secret for many years, then switched to Dove for many years. I, of course, tried things in between but found I am allergic to a handful of brands (Degree, Teen Spirit, those hippy underarm crystal things).

I switched back to Secret when Dove wasn’t working anymore and now that’s not working again either.

I brought home some more hippy stuff (Tom’s of Maine Organic) and today is day 2 and I was stinky yesterday and this morning am discovering I am allergic as well (red, raw, burning armpits sad ).

So what do you use? Are there even that many brands out there anymore?

white vinegar works. it kills bacteria. which cause odor. http://www.peoplespharmac...r-for-und/

Um, no. I actually don't sweat much and if I do, I don't stink. That's why I can get away with not using deodorant. smile
