too early? Of cource they do not give planes away on that show. (they cost too much and how many them can fly it?) I think they tell them that at the show and offer them a buy back amount if they prefer. Some shows also give some dollar amount to help with the tax. But yeah it could be a shock to win some big ticket item and find out in tax season that its FMV is taxable just like other forms of taxable income. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

I do, because it's the only way to get back to fiscal health, which will then allow us to cut taxes responsibly. The top rate probably needs to be 41%.

For the LAST time - there is not enough waste in the government to matter. You can eliminate it all and you won't make a dent in the deficit. Same with cutting spending - we don't do it. We never have. We have to increase revenue, balance the budget, get to a surplus, pay our debt way down, and then we can RESPONSIBLY cut taxes. We were in position to get this done 10 years ago, but George W. Bush irresponsibly cut taxes and screwed everything up.

Keep in mind that a Democratic president/Republican Congress did not increase spending as much as revenue increased in 1998 - 2000. So I remain the eternal optimist.

The poor sucka was the sole casualty, despite the huge fireball caused by the aerial attack. In the end, he proved he was inept at doing anything right. How long before Faux News & the far right blame the act on Obama? [Edited 2/18/10 12:15pm]

Bush screwed it up, though. But I know that we REALLY CAN do it again.

RodeoSchro said: Really? I read legitimate grievances. The IRS does ruin individual lives without blinking an eye and the average person is held accountable for everything but the banks and corporations get away with everything and we bail them out with our tax dollars. I totally understand why he broke. Too bad his striking out won't make one single second of difference and the raping of average americans will continue and the party for the rich will continue too... sad. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Mine too. Every single grievance, totally legitimate. How many Americans lost their retirement? We are at the mercy of the market for that to build back up. There is no guarantee that there will be any recoup and any loss has happened is the sole "responsibility" of the investor. Meanwhile, we bailed out the banks and they are giving themselves billions of dollars in bonuses. All while people are coming to the point of suicide because it's all so out of control against the average person..... 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
