A farewell for POOK Finally, after POOK's four years in the org community, prince.org has gone completely over the edge. POOK has been a true fixture on the new version of the org, sending random POOKings in Orgnotes, leading many, many elite strike forces to other websites (starwars.com and ironmaiden.com being the most memorable, but they were all fun to watch) and causing general mayhem. I've let him talk to all of you as equals, spreading much love and POOKness through the Internet. The problem with this is that, as many of you know, POOK is a very small, impressionable monkey. All he really wants to do in life is spend time with his beloved froggybaby, listen to Prince, play his little symbol guitar and jump up and down really fast. Amongst all this, he has spent quite some time on my computer during the day, making friends on the org. POOK stopped posting about Prince long ago and has since spent his time in General Discussion and Politics & Religion. While small, he is a wise monkey, dropping some true science on the boards. The problems mostly stem from the General Discussion forum, but extend well into the Politics & Religion forum. It's no hyperbole to say that the Politics & Religion forum is filled with anti-American Godlessness, or that the General Discussion forum overflows with sexual deviance. This is not the type of environment POOK needs to spend his time in. I think you know what I mean when I say that the depravity hosted on prince.org has finally gone over the edge. Perhaps if this were an isolated incident - or even if POOK were to stick to the music-related forums - this would be different, but the problem is that depravity is greeted with resounding support and nobody seems able to discern right from wrong. The relationships promoted on the org make a mockery of marriage and of the human function, and the support coming from the other members of this forum makes me wonder what kind of company POOK has been in this whole time. This is not the company POOK needs to keep. Please do not misunderstand - neither POOK nor I are perfect or blameless. However, when problems arise in our lives, we do what we can to correct our errors and soldier on. My problem with prince.org is that its members choose to wallow in their problems. You make your diseases your identity. Nobody challenges this, so I'm stepping in to make a stand. From this point on, POOK is no longer allowed to post at prince.org. On a personal note, no matter what Rhonda tells you, I truly left this site long ago. POOK does respect many people on the board. I'm doing my best to not name any names, except to say that Karen and Tony are really great people and POOK would like to stay in touch. POOK understands that you all exist outside of the org and if you would like to contact him, you can do so at his regular e-mail address. POOK knows that many of you will hate POOK for my decision, however I am sure that this is the right thing and POOK understands. I'm requesting that POOK's account not be deleted, so that nobody else picks up the mantle of POOK. POOK had some great times at prince.org, but those times are now over. Don't be surprised if you see POOK pop up elsewhere on the Internet, however he will post here no more. Not on a special occasion. Not for a new Prince release.
