Aussies wallop the Poms (English) again! Are there any other sports we can humiliate the Poms in?
We just belted them 3 - 1 in a socer friendly on their home soil! Is there a single sport in which the Aussies do not dominate the hapless Poms? We kick their arses in cricket, rugby, tennis, Commonwealth Games events, and now soccer. I'm sure there are more. Heh heh. :p humiliation edit [This message was edited Thu Feb 13 15:18:54 PST 2003 by bkw] When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Pom. -------
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti... "I've just had an apostrophe!" "I think you mean an epiphany..."

I know, bkw! This is cool news. Especially considering our team is one of the lowest ranking compared to the English team.
Yes, "Poms" are what we call the English here in Oz. But it's usually preceded with "Bloody..." or "Whinging..." or a combination of those two words. I can't remember where the word actually came from...it's an abbreviation for something, though. . [This message was edited Thu Feb 13 15:36:52 PST 2003 by mrdespues]

Pronounced "winj-ing" it is our version of the word "whining". We tend to generalise the English as a nation of complainers.

By the way, Merv Hughes needed that moustache ripped off more than Jack Russell. I nominate Llee to rip the hair off of any of you suckers if the pom bashing continues. And I mean from anywhere...
