Im sitting in the computer lab right now. Im wondering what the fuck I SHOULD b doing, altho Im quite content right now...

Every1 is going 2 a party...well, it SEEMS like every1. I don't drink so I figure there would b nothing 4 me 2 do there anyway...plus I'm just totally not interested. Im sitting here typing until my roommate goes away. I dunno if she's gone yet. She casually informed a girl on our floor that she's going 2 buy some weed. Yep...I feel so overjoyed right now.

It's not like every1 here is psychotic..just a few. Well, I like my roommate, we communicate more now...but...I dunno. I'm wondering if this shit can span an entire SCHOOL YEAR!!!

Is this possible?

everyone cool as hell, first time away from mom and dad, on their own! gonna party by damn! (you can tell the men and women from the boys 'n girls by whether nor not they know how to do laundry but that's another story. .

and you can get into it if you want to nep, it's fun. but watchout for losing your own true self in the new world of 'what's everyone else doin and should i be doing that too?' mindset.

don't let anyone make you uncomfortable or talk you into sustaining a party lifestyle if you don't wanna. it's ok not to want. see if a lot of 'them' don't crash and burn their first semester cause they procrastinated on that final paper etc. and drank beer instead.

Anyway...I do feel that college life will improve. My advice is you should try and go to a party with an open mind and just see what happens. Fun can be had without drinking (trust me ). I mean try everything not just parties. You should join groups and clubs to explore different interests. Also don't forget to have lots of meaningles . (Well perhaps you should wait until I get there for that ).

(By the way, lovemachine, I have done lots of stuff like I've seen Alicia Keys and I've gone 2 the State Fair and we went and saw a mindreader/magician last night...(freaky shit ) and...erm...I signed up 2 do audio, make-up, and costume design 4 theatre and I joined this group of singers who will go on a cruise in May.

So...it's not like I'm sitting in my dorm all day. )

There r a plethora (plethora?!) of things 2 do I just don't want 2 "drink" cuz that's what a is about, it seems.

So anyway...roommate update:

She has a really wierd ghetto-ass friend named Jakeicha who has a face *just* like 2pac except she has cornrows. Very scary.

I went with Jakeicha and my roommate 2 the "ghetto mart" across the street, where Jakeicha got some chicken wings (sold right next 2 the pagers, btw)

Then she started telling me how "U know how ur away from ur parents and u want 2 do something daring just cuz ur away?" I lied and said yeah...so she proceeds 2 tell me how she banged some guy and now he comes up 2 her asking her y she doesnt talk 2 him anymore and she's been avoiding him cuz she's ashamed. Her nickname 4 him is Mr. Psycho Man..apparently because he has a 12 inch dick or something...but she's playing him by calling HIM a psycho when SHE was the psycho one 4 screwing him in the first place!

I did NOT ask 4 this info, OK??!!! And I did not ask 4 her 2 tell me about it by saying she did that "Matrix thing" when he whipped it out. U know the Matrix thing where ur like "whoaaa..." and ur whole body gets pushed back by the force of gravity or something...?

Speaking of drinking, the infamous Jakeicha got alcohol poisoning last nite. She went out with my roommate 2 some pajama party (yeah right) thing and aside from being woken up 4 times by my roommate early on, my roommate's friend woke me up at 1 in the morning asking 4 a bobby pin, which I give her.

Then her ditzy Puerto Rican friend calls me asking if my roommate went 2 the pajama party (which is the only way I found out where it actually was)Then I was woken up 4 the milionth time at 2:30 in the morning by an R.A. from another building saying something about "Where is Dominique? She was going 2 meet me at her room cuz some1 got sick..." And she's saying something about an ambulance.

Now I did not get a good night's sleep with thoughts of an ambulance in my head.

Turns out it was Jakeicha (but r we surprised?)

Then my roommmate woke me up again when she came back in the morning. Turned the light on with not a care in the fucking world 4 my suffering ass in bed. After that Jakeicha herself showed up after my roommate left asking where she went. I said "she went 2 c YOU."


Lawd...Im so tired. And I wasn't even involved with this shit. My eyes r burning with fatigue.

I have a funny feeling I'm not going 2 enjoy weekends here.

Anyway, I've found a LOT of great people here...I'd say the good outweighs the bad by FAR...but it's unfortunate that they matched me up with some1 who has completely different sleeping patterns than me. She also wigs out if I c her on campus and I dont say 'hi". It's like "Damn..YOU can say hello 2, ya know. It's not all about me."

It's definitely a challenge because we r so different and half the time she's affected by either shots of alcohol or weed.

but there is something to be learned.Maybe you need to learn how to deal with all types of people and still be who you are.This could be a chance at learning the social skills that can help you later in life.Whether it's love or at work you will need to know how to interact with others.

U see, she WAS sitting out in the hall reading...but when I went 2 the bathroom and saw her out there I felt bad and told her she could come in. I thought she was out there cuz she didnt want 2 wake me up when she came back in. Apparently she was just out there 4 the light!

So when I returned from the bathroom, she is in there reading. How am I 2 sleep with a light all up in my face?!

Does she have any common sense? And there's no use hinting 2 her, cuz she missed my hint and didnt exactly volunteer 2 go somewhere else 2 read.

Thus I am in the computer lab trying 2 kill some time until she decides 2 put the shit away. It's really cold in here.
