Though, I'm totally against the idea of online love... The internet provides people from all over the world, all walks of life, all ages to communicate with, without leaving the comfort of your own home. You can learn new things, new cultures, hell, you can even watch porn. Not that I do that  ...
That being said, the internet is more convenient than socializing. Hell, you can even order things online! So yes, I think we're becoming a world of hermits. Slowly... -------

If people are made to FEAR going out of their homes, as such we ARE TODAY, because of the crime and terrorists, yes, we shall become hermits. thats why it is essential to reverse this process. it is NICE to b able to converse with people online on sights such as this. ppl with ones own interests... i think u should always look to mixing with ppl in person as much as possible, to make friends etc. but the internet has its advantages in that the people u converse with online, (if they r telling the truth...and that can be hard to decifer sometimes, so one HAS 2 be careful) will share your interests and from this, one can decide if they are even worth ones time, if ever deciding u may want to meet in person. i think u should b open to both methods of meeting ppl. shy ppl will always find internet dating more comfortable however. then, as i said, u have to be VERY CAREFUL who u take to online, but then again, the same caution holds true for meeting face to face. caution, without paranoia, always!!!
