Do they sing "You Dropped A Bomb On Me"? If so, then that is my favorite one. If not, sorry.

I'll say PARTY TRAIN since no one has mentioned it and because of the fun video.
(There's a shot of a lady walking on Venice Beach who's simply THE bomb) love2

Seriously though, Outstanding and Yearning do it for me.

Charlie Wilson's giggle slays me. giggle

"Outstanding"

Those drums at the start have been the basis of so many other people's hits... even the main groove gets jacked from time to time. No one can improve on the original though. cool

Good call! thumbs up! I liked that video, too!

I remember when "Outstanding" came out. At the end of the song Charlie goes:

"Girl, you know, you know you knock me out, babe."

Well, Vanity 6 was out during this time and I always thought Charlie was doing his version of their "honey, honey, honey..." at the end of "Wet Dream". Hey, I was crazy for the MPLS sound. neutral

I have an addition I want to make...."Nothing Comes To Sleepers" from 1980 Gap Band III album. That ballad almost brings tears to the eyes. Very touching.

ALL OF THEM!!!! worship

But....OUTSTANDING is one of those songs that will always be in my fiber. From the moment I heard it on the GAPBAND IV album....(my folks bought it for "You dropped a bomb on me") I stole that damn vinyl to play "OUTSTANDING" every single day!!!! One of the songs I couldn't live without...don't know who I would be without it....

One day, I'm gonna shake Charlie Wilson's hand and thank him!!! biggrin
