i was referencing a conversation going on concurrently in another thread in which another poster was arguing that it was incumbent upon white performers/musicians who were influenced by black performers/musicians to 'advocate' on the latters' behalf if the former experienced any sort laudation or success.
I get amused at those who deny the Beatles' influence in music. It's not their fault - they're either too young to know/think this stuff just always existed; or they aren't musicians and have no concept of what it took to write the songs.
