Haven't heard Chunky yet, but for me a full album with 24K Magic/ Uptown Funk type of R&B material would be awesome! I think I have read somewhere that a significant part of his new album (5 or 6 songs) will be energetic songs. I have high hopes as I never was into his ballads and sappy pop stuff. The old Bruno Mars doesn't cut it for me, but this new funked up energetic Bruno works wonders for me!

Yeah a bit, definately. Not his worst song though. That would probably be Grenade.

You got a point there.

Me personally I am a guy that listens to the music first and foremost. If the music doesn't appeal to me I will never get into the lyrics. Only when I like the actual music I am starting to listen to the lyrics a bit. And only if I believe them to be interesting I will really dive into them and try to fully understand what the song is about.

But in most cases (like with 24K Magic most likely) I never get to that phase as I am just too busy enjoying the groove of a song, while ignoring the bad/cheesy lyrics!

That is another great tune in early 80's R&B style. This is promising for the new album! I'd rather hear this type of retro R&B stuff than most of the other music you hear on the radio these days. If Bruno manages to get this style really popular again, other artists might follow. One can only dream!
