Why is there still a MJ sticky here? serious question

Yes. And why is not even a birthday thread allowed??? Now that both are dead, Prince fans are still threatened. Pathetic.

There threatened and the mods here are very immature. There is nomassive influx of Michael topics. Its been 7 years since he passed away, they can remove the sticky. The sticky exists because they don't like MJ or his fans and yes pathetic indeed.

I'm sorry you feel slighted, but wouldn't a fan of David Bowie prefer to be on a site dedicated to him instead a slice of a Queen site?

It would make sense, no?

I doubt Queen fans hate Bowie fans, but discussion about him on a Queen site would be unnecessary (unless it was about them working together or something).

Doesn't mean Queen fans feel threatened or hate Bowie fans.

What I don't understand is why the fans of one artist want to be at a site that isn't for their favorite artist yet be upset because they want to discuss their favorite artist and people object.

Bowie fans shouldn't expect special treatment at a Queen fan site. It's not for them.

I think it becomes an issue when fans want to see how they can push the other fans buttons on their own favorite artist's fan site and claim that's not what they're doing cuz they're "a fan of both".

Uh huh

I'll bet when they were both alive the mods really had their hands full and after 2009 there was a dramatic drop in the people who claimed to " love them both".

Well, whatever. Doesn't affect me. I just saw the thread topic and wandered in.

Carry on.
cool

What you fail to realize is, this is the "Music: Non-Prince" section of this site. So we can talk about whomever we want. And if people want to talk about one aspect of one artist, they shouldn't be condemned to one thread, which is all over the place and doesn't follow one clear topic. Also we don't only talk about Michael, we talk about music, so why should we go to a MJ forum? And believe it or not, some of us are fans of both. So really, this sticky is nothing more than pettiness of immature Prince fans.

Pretty much. The Irony of it is that there are a BUNCH of artists that get talked about excesively here WAY more than Michael. neutral

Closing a thread that acknowledges his birthday I mean c'mon, thats petty as hell. It could have been left opened. There wasn't even a lot of people posting in it. wacky

Until I saw this video, I thought MJ underwent extensive plastic surgery. But anyone can see that the changes in his appearance were mostly due to the natural process of aging and the dreaded vitiligo he suffered from. His appearance barely changed over the years:

How funny. Using the sarcastic card upon realizing you've pretty much been handled your ass in an argument.

Agreed. I was surprised it got closed so quickly.
Could have been left open
for the whole day.
It was his birthday - what would it have hurt to leave that one thread open for 24 hours so fans could share their feelings?

Because the mods are immature assholes here.

Well I wouldn't call them immature assholes but I do feel they could have been a little more compassionate. They do a great job with this site but I think they dropped the ball in this case.

Someone posted this in the Prince forum and the thread was locked. Skip forward to about 2:15.

When MJ asked P to be on "Bad" he sent P a copy of the song. P couldn't believe MJ had the nerve to claim he was "bad". As we know P declined the guest spot... I'd never heard that Prince had also re-recorded "Bad" and sent it back to MJ.

Cold.

What's not clear is when SM says "Prince re-recorded it how it SHOULD sound"... is she implying Prince did a parody (I'm a wuss)... Or that Prince kept the lyrics and made it funky?

Everyone probably has their own top 5.
Good luck on getting a top 5 that everyone agrees on.
