I agree. There has to be some kind of acknowledgement - for Prince, and Bowie. It would be too questioning for them NOT too. I would expect a video montage in the least. It starts at 8pm I'll check it there, but will try avoiding spoilers in the meantime

I just happened upon this show by accident, and no b.s., it was a bunch of whores lip synching wearing ponytails spanking themselves on exercise bikes in stiletto platform booties, (that is, a hybrid of The Fifth Element and Olivia Newton John looking).

And its Rihanna's Greatest Hits night x4 performances, and Alicia Keyes wearing a couch cover Whoopi Goldberg style.

so it was the female symbol formation at the end... but social media thinks it was the prince symbol being made by beyonce and her dancers...

there was no tribute and it was not the prince symbol.

(bolded) - Lol, I think replaying his performance of "Gett Off" would be the best idea. His performance is incredible...the singing, the dancing, the guitar, and the outfit. And that type of performance is exaclty the reason why so many parents hate MTV...because the performance was so x-rated!

Well, in the Kanye 'Fade' video, Teyana Taylor did a tribute via dance for various movies and artists including Prince's humping dance on top of the speaker during Darling Nikki. I think that is all the Prince tribute we are gonna get from MTV and that wasn't even from them.

I was at First Avenue last night (for the first time!!!) with friends and although it was closed for a private event they have a restaurant on the 7th Entry side that was quite good.

Anyway sitting at the bar and this shit show comes on and after the douche knows and Kanye got on stage and started his rant we had enough. There were quite a few 20somethings in the bar and seemed to be enjoying the latest Kanye crap and as we were leaving stated very loudly "this is what kids today think is a role model....PLEASEEEEE get a clue people and listen to a real thought leader and listen to some Prince!

As we all walked out the door we started chanting PRINCE! PRINCE! PRINCE! and actually had some older and younger folks applauding us as we left! Fun times
