DETROIT (WJBK) - The owners of Club Bleu in downtown Detroit are anger at the music artist Timbaland. They say Timbaland and his entourage were here Thursday night for a fundraising event to help Flint. Timberland was set to perform, but they say he did not.

According to the owner, Mitchell Jaworski, the night took a turn when the club did not have Ace of Spades champagne and could only accommodate the music artist and his crew with bottles of Dom Perignon. By this time it was already midnight with a packed house, and the owner says Timbaland did not want to perform.

"His manager said he was not in the mood for it because we did not have the proper champagne that they had requested on their guest rider," says Jaworski. A rider is a set of requests that a performer sets as criteria for their performance.

As a point of reference, a bottle of Ace of Spades costs $300, according to wine.com. Dom costs $170. Jaworski says, at some point, Timbaland got on stage but he still did not perform his half-hour set -- which was part of the deal. FOX 2 put in a call to a representative to the music artist for comment, but we have not heard back.

"What did Timbaland or his entourage say when you said, 'Hey, this is a fundraiser for Flint?" FOX 2's Josh Landon asks Jaworski.

"They really did not even seem to know much about it. I was stunned by their lack of knowledge and their lack of caring for it, especially since several other notable hip hop artists including Eminem, P. Diddy, Snoop Dogg, The Game have all have made huge personal donations, million dollars, million bottles of water. There's been huge donations by hip hop artists, many of them with no Michigan connections."

Snoop Dogg paid a visit here over the weekend to perform at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, but not before he met Flint's mayor.
