I remember 1st seeing this on Friday Night Videos You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. too much generic-designed-for-charts-and-MTV-music-by-numbers. I still have an old taping of Solid Gold with the performance though 
One of those cover tunes that 1) people had no idea was a cover and 2) is much better than the original. Case in point...

Wow! I saw the writers of the song and assumed they were the couple singing in Animotion. The original dude part doesn't even have a melody! |

Yes, an excellent song really. I remember it mostly for the 'Big Gay Following' segment on Balls of Steel where he chats up that guy at the parking meter.  I'm afraid of Americans. I'm afraid of the world. | |
