"Creole lady marmalade" need to chill on the youngsters and keep her hands off them under any circumstance. Why she tripping about some twerking? She's creole lady marmalade F.F.S! It doesnt matter if they are dancing in a fashion she doesnt like or standing too close to her exspensive luggage at an airport. keep your hands to yourself Ms Patti. . I assume she is used to people letting her do and say whatever to them i.e fans and her staff. Oneday she will meet someone with self respect and it wont be a pretty sight.

Patti Labelle has a history of "hitting the peasants" from people at the airport who stand close to her L.V bag to this. She invited someone on stage and she didnt like the dancing because it was too provacative and so she went on a rant about young people and she hit them. What a douchey spectacle of elitism if I have ever seen one. She doesnt get to hit anyone, period. I dont care what she be sanging.

I just noticed this all happened during the performance of "Lady Marmalade" . a song about prostitution which she has made a fortune off, which people paid to come see her sing and dance to and she loses it? . She should of shown that person on stage the same kindness and support she gave and heaped on to Aguilera and Mya when they twerked and stripped to that same song and at times even on the same stage as her. Elitist madness, she knows who she can hit and who she cant. hitting your audience for doing what you been doing for 40 years? Patti needs to go take a seat, perhaps one of the many empty ones at one of her shows.
.
Patti on stage hugging Aguilera and Lil Kim after thier rendition of the same song. Why she didnt lose it and hit Aguilera and KIM? oh right $$$$ yeah.
How can Patti cash cheques for singing Marmalade with LIL KIM and then turn around and hit someone who happens not to be rich or famous for doing a little twerk on her stage after she invited them to dance to her song about prostitution and then call it the work of the devil? . I guess its the work of Jesus and not the devil when your getting big cheques? yasss lawd. that lady marmalade money is good.

Oh, I see. You just don't like Patti. Then say that and be done with it. Pretending it's all her fault when everyone can see what went on in the video is just silly. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I dont know Patti. We are talking about how she treats people. I like her music alot actually.
. yes Patti brought the silly in that video. "Patti labelle hits fan for dancing provocatively during Lady Marmalade" - how silly can you get.

Wow, makes me wonder if she ever had any professional voice training... Because when you do, you can make the best of a fantastic voice even as you age. It is natural for the best maintained voices (especially for women, unfortunately) to decline with age--if they are in an upper range. One example is Barbra Streisand, who could hit those high soprano notes and hold them forever (whether people liked her voice or not lol). I went to see her for the first time in my life a couple of years ago and when she came out she hit every soprano note perfectly but two hours into the show she had to drop down to a lower range because of huskiness in her voice. Patti could do this, too, and not be such a perfectionist ripping her vocal chords up. Barbra used to be a perfectionist, but not so much these days. It's okay to sing in a lower range as you age... Conditioning people to feel or believe its ok to allow certain people to do as they please. This is how you end up with R Kelly and Roman Palinski. Not a single performer that's not ready for a close up or a duet with those two. "What kind of director would he be without a casting couch?" . "The pope is in Philly for The World Meeting Of Families, and you will also see The Queen Of Soul Aretha Franklin. She’ll be among the performers on the Ben Franklin Parkway. Franklin has said she may go into semi-retirement after this performance, and this event with Pope Francis is a great way to cap off full-time performing. I had a chance to talk to Franklin, and she says she will be singing “Amazing Grace.” The 20-time Grammy recipient also says she has a special gift for the pope. This is the second time she has performed for Pope Francis. Franklin also shared her memories of Philly and her favorite TV shows, which include Tyler Perry‘s “The Have & Have Nots”and Lee Daniel‘s “Empire.” _________________________________________________________________________________
Patti is the Queen of Philadelphia, who does ReRe think she is coming on Patti's turf? If the Mayor had ANYTHING to do with this Patti better beat him with her shoe...LOL..

..LOL..I don't know, but what I do know is that the Mayor greeted the Pope @ the Airport and he had front row seats @ the Mass/Concert...Patti held a Fundraiser Dinner @ her home (Even Bill "roffie" Cosby was there) for the previous Mayor which probably helped him win re-election...I don't think she did the same thing for the current Mayor and maybe that's why he dissed OL'girl...I'm just speculating...Why would he call Aretha and not Patti, when Patti has helped keep Philly going strong, not Aretha...When Grand-events happen in Philly Patti should get the call to perform because she's earned a Lifetime of the Cities Respect & Love, not Aretha....That's a No-No on his part...Jus'saying.....Anyways....The Queen of Soul did Great, she felt the Spirit while singing Amazing Grace and The Pope appeared to be pleased...I think Aretha was suppose to meet him before she exited the stage, but she either chose not to, she forgot, or she planned to meet him after the event...
