Love Stevie, but no....We see him everywhere..From his many trips to The White House or appearing on BET....No, I'd rather see Aretha or Smokey than Stevie....and I don't wanna see Paul McCartney either, Hell no....Prince would be awesome or maybe Bruce Springsteen...Absolutely NO to Sam Smith, Adele and Elton John (Love him, but NO)....Yes to Garth Brooks & Carrie Underwood....

Since its a Taylor Swift world and we're just living in it, she'll probably be in the running.

It might sound blasphemy but for me the Prince show didn't do it for me, it was boring, you know i don't like Prince changes his music so much as he does. The same for Paul MCcartney show, sooo boring.

Hell no, he JUST performed. Not again so soon. It seems the NFL is out of ideas.

Checking on Twitter, a lot of people are displeased at the notion of him returning so soon.

I have to agree... It's always astounded me how even non-fans were awestruck by that performance. I didn't think it was all that (having watched Prince live videos), but now when I watch it I have a newfound appreciation.. I think people like it because Prince succeeds in being some place in between 'generic boring rock band' and 'flashy dancey pop star'. And he showed America how talented he is on his shredder too. Of course, purple rain during 'Purple Rain' did him some favors. wink

that's what I was thinking lol she seems to be the obvious choice...that is,if they want someone "current",which they most likely do

I agree.Prince's performance was good, but not as amazing as some people make it out to be boxed I think it's because I've seen so many incredible Prince performances throughout the years (on his tours) that the SuperBowl performance falls flat,to me.I didn't like the cover songs.

but I'm probably the wrong person to ask.I'm one of the few people who thinks that the Black Eyed Peas' superbowl performance wasn't as terrible as people said it was nuts lol

As derivitave as Bruno Mars is, it doesnt matter. He's amazing. I've never seen anyone happier to be onstage in my life smile

I love watching him....I saw him live at the Garden in NYC - Pharrell opened I was surrounded by 15 y/o girls lolololol it was a great great show. He'll kill the superbowl - again.

Bruno still has yet to truly come into his own as an artist but I wouldn't necessarily say he's derivative especially in comparison to many other acts we have out there.

I won't complain if he performs again but it's a legitimate complaint to have for him getting to do so again just 2 years later when there's still so many other artists who could be used instead. Not only that, but it's the 50th Super Bowl. Bruno can be apart of it but I don't think he should (or will) be performing solo (like he should have last year).

Though I don't think she fits the bill, T Swift is the safest choice for all the right and wrong reasons. That's assuming she performs solo which (as with Bruno) is unlikely given how Halftime Shows have been booked since they returned to pop acts headlining. In that case, cool; I guess I can deal with that but Taylor performing solo at the 50th Super Bowl just ain't the right idea.

Bold 1: I agree...he's great at retro feeling but it always reminds me of someone else, like Lenny Kravitz actually - great musican/singer but not very original

Bold 2: Taylor Swift. I cant deny she can write a damn catchy hook. But my god...her PR machine is like Gwyneth Paltrow...I'm so done with the tyranny of the souless awkward white girl with enough platitudes to fake feeling but no real connection to the world the rest of us live in.

Taylor Swift and her 'squad' make me want to hurl. Co-opting any other famous presence so you passive agressively assert your pop culture power all while remaining as non-threatening as a bag of toast makes me ragey. If you can't dominate a stage for the duration of your own show...please see Madonna for some tips.

Yes Stevie should be, the man is alegend, he is great live act. Open it the show with Superstition, then moves with Higher Ground, Livin for the city, Pastime Paradise (with Coolio), I Wish and closes the show with As with a great choir (a 5:00 minutes version).

But if Bruno Mars runs away with the show, it's ok for me. If that's the case i wouldn't mind if he doesn't performance that shitty Uptown Funk, but deep in my heart i know he will.

I know we're talking about headlining the show but I could've sworn, Stevie was a surprise guest for someone else before....
